Regarding Who Deserves to Get Honored & How People Usually Do It

League of Legends Match History

It happens every so often that you were the one who contributed the most to your team winning the game.

Depending on which way you carried decides if you get honored at all. Of course there are people who can recognize how well you did anyway but most only think about who got the most kills or turrets. This in turn can affect how fast you raise your Honor level. The MVP deserves to have that bonus.

I think there should be some form of info before the honor screen that highlights who was the best at each of major stats and/or who did the best for each team. That way even if you don't pay much attention, you'll know who deserves your honor. I added a pool about it so leave a vote.

The link is for my ARAM game with Taric where I out-healed an absurd amount of damage, took a lot of it, got off tons of good stuns and ults to protect my teammates and secure kills. Also I had the most turret damage. Enemies would run away from me so as not to get clapped. Yet for some reason the one who got the most honors was Twitch and I didn't get a single one. Happens quite a lot. item 3070

Honors is about behavior, not the MVP.

The 1v9 carry can be toxic as hell, and end up getting reported and punished instead.

You can progress in your honors without people honoring you. Getting honors will slightly move your honorary progress forward.

honors aren't just about stats...

more often than not I dont even consider stats when i choose

Only Brand and Ziggs in your game deserved the honors, tho. No one else fed the poro and those people shouldn't be honored.

Honors are more about if you had fun playing with a certain individual or if that individual helped carry the team or if that individual helped you bring yourself back in the game when you were struggling , that's why people honor others, stats won't say all that

I tend to get an honor per game, and my stats are usually pretty shitty. Most of my honors are untiltable, which has nothing to do with how well I play.

As others have already stated, Honors go to whoever players deemed most enjoyable to play with - not the "MVP" or the guy who had the best stats or whatever.

If you're going to be throwing up stats as a metric for players to determine who they should Honor, you may as well throw away the ability to select who gets Honors and just autoassign them to whoever the game arbitrarily judges as "MVP".

If you want Honors - be honorable. Play well, lead well, and stay level-headed. Just don't expect Honors solely because you did a fuckton of Healing or some other stat like that.

I choose to honor based on how they play and assist as a team or if they out did themselves but were modest, or in general helped in what way they could against the odds.

I mean, you don't deserve honors just because you may have carried. I usually honor people who keep their cool against flaming teammates or play to win when everyone else has given up. Stats are irrelevant to me most of the time.

I probably wouldn't want an MVP highlight like that because the majority of people who carry end up letting it go to their heads and just become super toxic, in my experience at least.

I receive honors, not because of my stats but because I usually keep my cool. I tell my team up front that I fill and I won't be super awesome at any of them but I'll try my best.

I usually have more to prove since I play Lux jungle and Soraka mid but it's worth it ^^

That's fine and I can respect it though we have 3 different honors. Can't be only those who they found enjoyable.

Don't forget this is the boards and a little number of people actually come here. Those who do usually think differently than others.

In my games most of the time players don't care about somebody being friendly and/or funny except in rare cases. It's usually always the ones who dealt the most damage/wiped the enemy team and I am not exaggerating.

Sure people get to choose who to honor but that doesn't mean they are going to do it fairly as they just don't know/are stupid as hell.

In SR I only ever get honored by my ADC when I play support. If he has half a brain not to give shutdown gold after I carry him, he'll get all the honors! Even though I may have saved the rest of my teammates several times and scared the enemy away or gave them an opening for a fight in our favour.

I say it again, friendliness isn't a factor in my games. It's about who's less toxic and I don't ever take part in it which is why I rarely get honored for it if ever. Tilt-proof:✓, Nice and fun:✓ unless there are griefers which is when I stay silent, Contribute to the game:✓ most of the time and still it's the ones with tons of damage.

Nearly forgot. What I noticed is the nice and fun part is ony looked at when it comes to bot games.
