watch out, mods will perceive this as an insult not as a joke and remove your post. im curious what you'd do if they really did that

On a side note, I've had my fair share of comments removed. Sometimes I felt it was unjust but at the end rules are rules.

Good thing it isn't breaking any rules!

Good thing he's not telling someone to "actually use your brain" in a place where that kind of thing isn't allowed!

I'm genuinely confused. Is it not allowed to use your brain here? Or is telling somebody to do so not allowed? Or is it both?

Sad to say, I'm actually being genuine. This unfortunately isn't a joke question.

When a player is asking for help with a problem on a board designated for it, telling them to "actually use your brain", especially with zero further explanation is insulting, un-helpful, and rude.

The way you speak of it, this sounds like it has been a recurring issue in the Help & Support sub-boards.

If I may be honest though, it does seem like something an official Ritoer would likely tell a customer. This based on many 1st-, 2nd- & 3rd-hand experiences in dealing with Rito Customer Support.

Being against the rules is not justification for punishment. Anything can be made against the rules. Worse, with the specific rules we have now, anything the mods feel is against the rules is and such feelings don't need to have a basis in reality.

Really? So we can call people children or say they're acting like children? That's surprisingly lenient for you guys.

Awkward moment when I got a chat restriction once for telling my team they were acting like children in a ranked game one time.

In the words of Jennifer, you're simply perceiving this thread wrong. I think there is a difference between broad memed and specifically insulting someone.

Ex: "All mods are bad at their job and they hate us" vs. "ChickenWrap is an idiot who can't mod worth half a damn"

I don't frequent them, so I honestly don't know. This was in Gameplay

That's an oof. Surprisingly, I had to go through two different support members to get something done that I needed to get done. One basically shut me out and another said "hey no worries."

Yep, this is literally me right now. I have an ongoing ticket that unfortunately only 1 Rito Support employee is authorized to handle, as she previously informed me. Thankfully, since I know who the ticket should be forwarded to, she said I can start by informing the agent exactly who it needs to go to.

Whelp, I did exactly that & not for the first time mind you. However and this is the first time this has ever happened; the Support employee that answered my ticket REFUSED to forward it and said he won't help. I asked him a 2nd time to just forward it like I originally instructed. He again REFUSED to forward it, repeated word for word that he won't help me & also included a verbal THREAT (not the first time a Rito official has threatened me just for requesting assistance.) I'm now on my 3rd time of telling him to JUST. FORWARD. THE. TICKET.

I can't fathom why anybody defends a toxic company like Rito. They have the 2nd-worst customer service I've ever experienced.

It depends on how you say it and where you say it and what you're talking about? I feel like if you need to ask if it's OK then it's probably not OK.

If I do it here and in the same manner that the OP did it (except with text instead of a picture)?

I wouldn't have thought the way the OP did it would have been acceptable, but he got your endorsement. But because you guys are such hypocrites, I want things to be as explicit as they can be.

Be it in text format would not change the meaning of my thread. The gifs are mere expressions of what texts can hardly express. Usually texts are up to the interpretation of the receiver since they lack emotions and facial expressions. While on the hand, memes and gifs are really clear at what they represent.
