Open Mid drives me absolutely wild

Why are you even playing if you're going to give up a game that probably isn't even as dire as you think it is? I've won two 3 v 5s, and I've won games where triple inhib goes down and the nexus is at 50 HP.

What drives a person to give up and ruin the game for 4 other people because the game isn't going their way? Is it an ego thing? Even if it's only a one in a billion chance, the game is still winnable. How can people just give up? Why do people give up over really small leads like 9 to 13? I actually just don't understand giving up in the middle of a game.

Like I'm not worried about the people who crash because it's not their fault and it happens, but I'm more upset about the people who are physically able to play and choose not to. It actually drives me crazy when people do this.

It's an ego thing. They fall behind and therefore can't solo carry and the thought of getting carried by the other teammates is absolute insanity to them. Or you don't play the way they want you to play.

People have extremely weak mental fortitude. That's about as deep as it goes.

Even if it's only a one in a billion chance, the game is still winnable.

Unless the entire enemy team is iron-gold that is not happening when they have a huge lead with a team comp better than yours or certain champs you don't want fed getting all the kills.

Had a game last night where the enemy yi showed up into my top lane for the first time with his finished jungle item AND rageblade at 13 minutes.

At that point it doesn't matter what I do because

  1. Not only will yi show up to kill me in 2 seconds no matter how tanky I get.

  2. My teammates have already shown they have zero teamwork and don't know how to play safe since they allowed a Yi to get that fed at 13 minutes.

  3. Do I have to mention how low yi's skillfloor is?

Best part was that I called Yi solo carrying the game for his team when it was 16-11 in my teams favor, 4 of those kills being me solo killing enemy top 3 times and solo killing enemy mid when he came to gank me but of course Fed Yi>Fed Tank anyday.

Am I saying every game you're behind is unwinnable? Of course not, but there is more factors people use to determine if the game is over or not than just how many kills your team has vs the enemy team.

As others said, yep it's an ego thing. People believe they are entitled to free easy wins without putting in any effort, and this probably is their view in real life as well when things get too tough, so the moment the game takes too much effort, they tilt and stop trying. I'm having issues with dealing with those kind of people in the real world as well because they expect to be spoonfed and hand holded throughout their entire lives and the moment I give them any autonomy, they throw a tantrum and don't do anything either.
