If you hover Ornn in ranked champion select, don't get mad at me for banning him.

  1. He was released less than a week ago. Even if you played him before on PBE, there's just no way you know how to play him due to PBE players being absolute trash. Plus, your allies don't even fucking know how to play WITH Ornn yet.

  2. He's weak as shit right now. 35% winrate, and I'm really being generous with that stat, considering most stats are even lower.

That being said, don't fucking cry I ban him because you hovered Ornn.

don't fucking ban ornn if its a normal game though, how else are people supposed to fucking learn???? if its ranked, that's fine, I agree he is in a bad spot, but don't make the point that ''you don't know how to play him'' and not let people learn him.

If it's a normal game, you're adding to the problem.

take out the expletives, we get your point without them. yes riot should do something about ranked and new champs.

I play him and do well with him even in ranked. He is not that hard of a champion to learn. All these threads about "if you hover x champion im banning him" is no better than them banning ANY champion you hover. Hope your not a 1 trick pony.

That said, his win rate is low right now because of those that insist they must play him in ranked for their first games, because they dont do normals. His win rate will go up to probably 45% at least..... im going to assume next week when everyone gets over themselves and banning him in ranked.

His win rate is also tanked because those that do know how to play him, very well could be on your team and you just ban him. Those that do not know how to play him because its their first game.... will often be in a team with their friends and that could assure that they get their Ornn.

You think win rate is a viable tool for saying a champion is shit and sucks? Stop forcably dropping it by banning him when someone wants him. Its been over 2 days. Let it go.

And you lose all right to complain about your report the second you ban a teammate's pick.

I really don't care if the champion has a literal 3% win rate. I don't care if it's Tristana Jungle.

#YOU NEVER HAVE THE RIGHT TO BAN A TEAMMATE'S PICK

Second point is unfortunately true. So I do agree somehow.

Imagine my shock when people play ranked not to win but to play "for fun"

I have 100% winrate with and against Ornn. OP champion. Bless no ban. My elo.

I see people who do this in both Normals as well as Ranked & I have mixed feelings about it.

Now in Ranked, I can understand why people don't want him on their teams. He simply isn't that good in his current state & has only been out for roughly a week. Ranked tends to be difficult as there's always that chance you are partnered up with a Teammate that essentially becomes 'Dead Weight' (For a multitude of reasons such as Tilt, Low Skill, etc) & will have to be carried. Now if say Ornn has to compete with a Carry-Top laner such as Fiora Renekton Riven and maybe Gangplank , but does so poor that these champions become a extreme threat to your team, you will have to coordinate with you team as 4-5 people in order to deal with that threat. Otherwise that Carry will end up being the opposing teams win condition. I've personally had matches in Ranked like this & it devolves into a living hell where all my teammates do is bicker among themselves instead of putting their heads together. Now am I the kind of guy who would want something like a Newer champion in my Ranked matches? No, I would rather take a break from Ranked until people figure out what the Champion in question is supposed to do than go in & possibly lose LP.

Normal queues are an entirely different story. Normal Queues are where people are supposed to test out Newer Champions (Technically, Bot Matches & Practice Tool better suit this goal. However, you will need to go into PvP at some point to test out your Builds & Stratagems). I've seen people in Draft modes Purposely ban Ornn despite teammates declaring him as their intended pick. This is usually followed by "I don't want Ornn on MY team" or "You probably got Auto-Filled as Support & just want to play him". Behavior like this is rather selfish in my opinion & while Normals should be treated seriously, you shouldn't treat people in such a manner as it more or less makes the game unfun for other players who actually want to Learn/Play Ornn (Despite Ornn's Mediocre 35% win rate). Now if Someone on my team wants to play him, I kindly oblige to their desire to do so. I even once played a Game of Trundle Support as I quickly discovered that he does have some Synergy with Ornn & to a degree, plays almost exactly like Ornn Support.

Bottom line here is that I do agree people SHOULD take it easy on Ornn in Ranked as he brings very little to the table & could be more trouble than he's worth. However, try to take it easy on those in Normal Queues and take it as a Learning experience (Playing with/Against Ornn).
