League of Legends Free for Almost One Month!

Hello boards,

Just wanted to stop by and share my progress. I used to be pretty addicted to this game and to be honest it was unhealthy. I was missing out on so many things in life and I can happily say that the changes I have made are for the better. I no longer play for hours, nor do I follow any youtubers that play. I deleted all pages related to league of legends from my Facebook and youtube and it has made such a difference. I enjoyed this game for 2 seasons but the path that it is going I no longer had any fun. I am officially league of legends free for one month and just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else that feels that this game is enveloping their lives. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is hard to quit but when something in your life is poisonous you cut it out. Thanks for the fun times Riot, Season 4 and 5 were amazing, and I will always remember the game as it was.

Well, good for you I guess. I find taking a break from the game rather than blaming it for your personality flaws is better for me in the long run, but everyone is different. If this works for you, then great. But when I stopped having fun with the game, I stopped playing as much, rearranged my priorities, and I'm back to having a lot of fun with the game. I feel like adjusting my perspective has helped me more than just straight up quitting, or else I would have just gotten angry at another game. I'm more productive elsewhere in life because of my readjustment.

I think it's important to note that you should never prioritize League over School, work, family or friends. Don't miss out on life. That's true for any game.

Good on ya OP, season 6 and 7 are horrible in comparison

League is pretty time demanding to be good at it, but I find myself coming back to it over and over simply because I enjoy the basic mechanics and characters. Even if I kinda like other MOBAs I think jungling in League is still the best and lots of characters feel pretty fun and distinct. I can't exactly play characters like Lucian, Twitch, Ezreal, Ivern, Veigar ect in other games.

i never realy enjoyed massive amounts of playing, the game stops being fun after you reach your peek rank .
