We went from "ADC in 2k17 lul" to almost entire teams building support items just for their ADCs

Not really complaining about that, after all, ADCs have been absolute shit at the start of this season but it's funny that almost at the end of this season roles swapped and now the same people who mocked them now build support items and completely rely on their Tristana or Twitch to carry the game

i'm sorry to tell you, but the "lulz adc 2k17" was a meme from bad players. ADCs were always overpowered, its just that they were not protected by tanks and supports (like the pealing supports) at the start of the season.

That's the entire difference. Everyone was playing actual assassins or engage supports (not pealing ones)

its adc meta. Thats what whiny adc mains did for us.

ADCs were never weak, the meta was just for utility ADCs and not ADCs that would just melt through entire teams. You would still almost guarantee lose a fight if you ADC got killed.

They were always strong but assassins and junglers had so much power at the start of the season everyone just ran it down bot where they could kill the most defenseless champions on the map. Games were still decided by which bot lane got more ganks and was able to get a better lead. Then as we nerfed those elements, the power of ADCs rose like they were going to because they were always good.

Yeah "ADC in 2k17 lul" was the most stupid meme ever existed in the history of mankind.

Locket/Stoneplate and Ardent Censor being broken is because their broken. Not that they wanted to push the adc meta.

id still rather focus on killing enemy adc. I don't want to completely rely on my own adc who has at least 50% chance of being trash.

Terozu8/18/2017, 7:25:40 PM4 votes

They were never bad...

ZenithEevee8/18/2017, 7:50:36 PM3 votes

Except there's still some ADC's that aren't good atm.

Because you know, During the big ADC meta, Most the ones that stood out were either Jhin, Twitch, Or Lethality abusers.

Why do you circlejerk this while having no idea what you're talking about?

Botrk was nerfed at the time so ADCs who built it were weak.

Armor pen was changed to lethality and the time and it significantly hurt the damage output of all ADCs until Riot overbuffed it to let ADCs abuse it.

All while this was going on tanks were walking all over marksman and assassins were still running around one shorting people.

It's almost like people were saying ADC 2k17 because they were weak.

Come back when you aren't spreading lies to boost your ego.

The "adc in 2017" meme went on while we had graves jg/top, corki mid, varus mid, and quinn/jg top as meta picks. It's hard to say they were weak when they were being played in every role but support, with often 6 adcs in one game.

We still have lucian/corki/jhin mid as meta picks.

And that's what happens when people complain. The game gets changed and people still complain. The cycle never ends.

I have never seen a game without at least one ADC in 2017, or 2016, or 2015 and the story goes on. In fact all of my ranked games as far as I remember had 100%+ ADC pick rate. All LCS games are 200%+ ADC pickrate (e.g. each team picks at least one). ADC were not weak at the start of 2017, they were just not OP. ADCs were not able to 1v5 carry and they cried, now we have this.
