Incredible how "First Blood" can tilt entire teams

it's curious how hearing first blood can make an entire team think they're gonna lose and slowly lose map awareness and start to feed and flame eachother at the point they will really lose the game

Well, to be fair... I remember a game where I was support guarding against invade in the river bush near mid, and the enemy mid was kinda flaunting around over extended pre-minion spawn mid. So I pinged and went in to put some pre-minion spawn pain on the enemy mid with Karma and an R+Q.... I bean them good, and get in some autos on them, our mid chases them... under their turret.... dies.

That was fucking retarded I though. They, in a panic cause they did something retarded, blamed me. No one was buying it, they turret dived at level 1, died, blamed me. I mean it was basically a head-start for our mid. Enemy mid was going to have to back cause they would have started level 1 laneing phase at less than half health, but instead, they got a kill on a dumbass, and I had to let them free farm cause my ADC needed me bot lane.

So yes, one complete imbecile can, with great displays of dumbassery, make everyone feel like theyre on the losing team cause of first blood.... they can feel the feed that will come from the moron who did something monumentally stupid, and theyre now mad they will be forced to eat the enemy teams boots for the next 20 minutes cause of one idiot.

Some people do it needlessly, over reacting and all. Top lane outplays the other, gets a kill but not the end of the world. Still sometimes... you know you have a fucktard on your team and it irritates people to feel like they are now forced to "play" a fail-state situation to the 20 minute mark.

But mostly people over react.

Whenever I'm laning, I keep wondering three things:

  1. Is my opponent aggressive, passive, or an idiot?
  2. Will the jungler give two shits about this lane?
  3. Who will get first blood.

I'm usually in the middle of asking the third to myself when I hear "First Blood." If it's our team, I type a little "gj" in chat. If it's the enemy team, I'm just like, "huh. That happened." Then I go back to farming and take note of the fact that their bot lane is a little ahead, so ganking would be priority if I can pull it off.
