I used to be able to unlock stuff at a regular rate with the old setup. It feels so bad with the new Blue Essence system. I feel like riot is attempting to create a massive p2w push. 3900 for mastery emotes to now. Are you saying you're evaluating a mastery emote as the same cost of the median champions. This is beyond ridiculous.

Right that thing. Wasn't thinking of champion mastery as a whole as being an emote, I thought you were referring to the level up emotes.

Mastery is the same price as it ever was. You used to pay 5000+ IP to buy champ shards to disenchant into BE, now you pay 3900 BE. While it's true you could technically get champ shards from the S rank chests before, I don't think I ever did and was thus forced to use IP.

I always did it through S chests. I was unlocking pretty much every aspect of the game faster pre-changes.

I think it may also be a play time thing, I would guess those who go from 1-30 unlock faster where I'm now at 42 and I feel like I'm unlocking champions extremely slow, and I want to get more champs so I cant unlock a mastery emote.

Yeah... Boards have been like this since they closed the old forum. Honestly the Boards were fantastic when they were still in beta and GD was boycotting them. Post quality really took a nose dive afterward though, and that's when the downvote culture started.
Oh well, I get plenty of upvotes from other sources, so I won't complain.

Having a larger champ pool for some people leads to success. I'm one of those players. Second account and like to pick for the situation and not one-trick. Having to wait 3 years for unlocking the rest of the champ pool seems a bit P2W to me. However P2W in 2017 is a subject term.
