The community and riot rules has turned me into a care bear, and I can't say I appreciate it.

My main account was banned at calling some people bad and using some profane language in direct forms to other players when they do stupid things. So I moved onto a new account in which I told myself the toxic behavior will be less than 5%. A good goal coming from someone that was previously at 20-30% toxic. So far I've accomplished it well. I had one day I had to pull myself off the game but it is what it is. However I've out of spite of people who previously reported me, I've turned into a witch hunter. You say one negative thing and I report you. I log in every single time to an instant feedback report. This system is flawed, its almost encouraging people to bait reactions in order to attempt to get them banned. I personally won't take it that far but I know there are tons that already do.

Don't blame the system on this one. You are willfully abuse this on your own.

abuse? I just said I won't bait people into reports. I'm just giving 0 tolerance now. I wouldn't consider that abuse if anything the system encourages campfire songs and marshmallow roasting. I know some people who come play league have no out of game social lives and that alone can create insecurities that prevent people from being able to handle others who strike those insecurities. However its an online game, and online games come with trash talking. I do believe there is fine lines that strike between toxicity and non-toxicity but riot does not. So I will follow their rules and report everyone for anything, because other people who did that got my main banned. It's a cycle of life.

People report flamers/trolls to clean up the community. You admit (repeatedly) to do it out of spite to get other people banned because some other people reported and got your main account banned. The fact that you do it purely for spite is abusing the system...

Remember INTENTION matters a lot

Obviously from the Summoners Code point of view, you did nothing wrong and will never be punished for it. From the moral point of view, doing it PURELY for spite or some kind of revenge against people who did not got your other account banned is an asshole move.

except people DONT report flamers and trolls to clean up the community. most of the people doing the reporting are people who like the OP. are just reporting out of salt. with the exception of a few people. most people don't care in the long term whether people troll or flame. just not when they are on their team.

it's more then just a few trolls. however riot doesnt actually keep stats on it so i cant give you proof.

multiple 100's of hours on my main account banned after a non-toxic spree, because a few people didn't like me calling out their plays, and my account flagged as previous actions taken. Most of these people also flaming and probably punished previously but have a duo who can get you ganged up on and reported. I have no sympathy anymore for anyone who flame. That is my spite. That is my salt. That is what the community and the system made of me. Take it how you want. Idk how your elo is but high gold low plat everyone is toxic and everyone is reporting each other. It's just how it is. Some people even intentionally pick and troll and act like its a bad game just to get people reported. My account with tons of cash and hours sunk into it because a group of flamers baited me in chat and reported me. You'd be salty too.

Out of spite or not, if they are being toxic even the littlest I report now. That is all. As per all the white knights do on here. Everyone with the ideal carebear mentality of a social equilibrium of peace and prosperity in an online competitive game where you are given random teammates of unequal skill. This game is literally designed to create salt.

Did you know the 2nd most salty body of water is the black sea. The first is the collective community of league of legends, and riot makes money off banning people. So they don't care if it's flawed or not. Cost money to buy the skin and champ a second time.

They vast majority of players never get banned. If you've gotten permabanned, what you consider "5% toxicity" is not "5% toxicity."

this is me. Got my smurf perma'd in s5 now I am honorable on all my alts (my main has always had ribbons/honor). Now whenever I get some douchebag I very slightly work to set him over the edge, whether its taking his buff, stealing a little CS, or flashing badge over his corpse. Maybe I'll purposely ping to go in and get distracted by that butterfly on the red side of the jungle. Maybe I decided to stop attacking long enough for you to die and then secure the kill. All Riot has succeeded in doing by attempting to limiting our ability to flame is force many of us to find more inventive ways to express our displeasure with team mates. Riot forgets its playerbase is composed primarily of young MEN, shit talking is a part of our nature. If you want us to pretend to be nice go for it, but we'll still tilt people we dislike whether its by spamming laugh, emotes, mastery badge, or forcing bad plays.
