Monkey King x Wukong

Just out of curiosity, why Wukong is called Monkey King in the game code? I know he was based on him, but why not call him Wukong on the code?

Probably because they coded him before they named him, and at the point of naming him, so many of his files were based around the monkey king code file that they couldn't change it without extensive work.
