i think the reason why matchmaking sucks is because it doesn't account for inconsistent performance

if you are the type of players who play like a god one game then like a person who somehow skipped the unskippable tutorial an other game then matchmaking HATES you because it doesn't care for inconsistency

if you did well the last few games and now you can't perform? too bad ur mmr was buffed from those games and you are expected to always perform the same or the game will be bad for your team (usually)

if this doesn't apply to you it will certainly apply to at least one of your teammates most of the time

There is literally no way to account for this. people need to understand that.

Its bad b/c no matter how well you do, a loss will net you the exact amount of lp loss that the garbage players you were carrying get. Or if you carried hard, still the same amount. If they can implement a scorecard for your performance, they can apply that to mmr. Thats how it should be, if you have an A+ or above on a losing team, you really shouldnt lose as much lp, same for winning, if you have an A+ or above, you should get more points b/c you clearly carried the game

The reason matchmaking sucks is because riot does nothing about the trolls, INTers, afker’s.. this past weekend I had 6 AFKs. Most announcing in chat they were going afk. I’ve had blatant racist comments made by trolls. I’ve had inters both on my team and opponents teams. All reported by multiple people. no instant feedback. No bans. I can pull them up and see thru are still actively playing 4 days later. Riot doesn’t care about the game or matchmaking. All they care about is skins and other crap for people to buy

No it sucks because Riot has no idea how to balance an MMR system

Premade players DO NOT play better than solo players, stop putting premade players in higher MMR games than they belong in

True, I am that type person. One game I will play like Diamond, another like Silver. Other players are not protected from that.

Nah, matchmaking sucks because it averages MMR across a 5 man team.

You : 2500 MMR, team mates could be high or low and the problems come into play when you get two or three high MMR players matched with 2 or 3 low MMR players to give you that average . Que Timers #! YAY!

that sounds like tank supports should have it the easiest mmr wise. cause they usually die for their team so their score will be around 0 kills, a couple deaths and a handful of assists
