people can get emotional especially in a competitve game and where they get flamed so hard/or trolled and and be tempted to break these damned rules because they are humans

Again, yes and no. I abide by the rules for two reasons:

I get punished if I don't
"It's the right thing to do"

That doesn't mean I always abide by the rules. In this environment (League) I do because I get nothing by breaking said rules. I may be chaotic aligned, but I'm not dumb.

Don't use the "we're humans" excuse. We're not monkeys, most of us at least, so we can control our actions even if our emotions go wild. I bet you don't go around insulting people on the street, or breaking stuff, whenever you're mad at something. If you can control yourself out there, you can also control yourself around here.

Many players only come to PB to complain about their punishment. It's only fair they're told why they're wrong. That implies replying with "deserved, because..."

But it's true. If I don't break the rules, why should you? If you want to misbehave then go right ahead, but then don't complain about the eventual punishment. ######Breaking the rules doesn't make you "evil", much like it doesn't make you "good" either. Basically, "evil" and "good" have nothing to do with rules.

Most of us are just jaded and tired of hearing the same old bullshit excuses again and again. "It was a 4 man, that other person was more toxic, it was the first time in a month."

And I would agree with this if the system was so harsh that one or two reports got you punished, you need tens if not hundreds to actually get punished man.

Let's establish the common ground here: Riot's behavioural ban system is extremely lenient. Too lenient, in fact; mostly because it is extremely unresponsive to anything other than simple string-matching.

You simply have to actively try to get yourself banned, or if you simply give 0 rats ass about basic human decency, in order to even get banned.

It's not just a moment of being emotional, since to even get banned is a matter of being so shitty even the shitty unresponsive system thinks you're shitty enough to get banned. So there is nothing to argue about.

And indeed, people only bring out "cUz RuLeZ" because "soul" arguments do not work against the banned whiners. Because they don't give a shit about decency, manners, and anything above acting like a drunken barbarian who beats their partner in the first place. It is their demand that mutual unspoken human decency simply isn't enough that we need to define it into the law or else anything is free-for-all; it is their demand that we need a list of things we can and can not do or otherwise "it's just too vague".

And we give them precisely just that. "Here's the rules. Suck it up and shut the fuck up."

But ofc, being the shitters they are, they now come around and whine about "draconian". Funny how that works.

But nothing good comes from it, it brings nothing valuable to the table, it's unwanted distraction, if you are highly emotianal and can't control yourself, your bad, just don't come near ranked and do it elsewhere.
