Isn't Seven Deadly Sins basically Fairy Tail?

Adventure based on magic, half naked girls in short skirts and very bad writing. I watched my brother watching the anime, took an interest in one the characters and I decided to read about it myself. 50 chapters in and I'm already put off by it

Seven Deadly Sins is closer to Dragon Ball franchise than it is to Fairy Tail. Not only is the artstyle sort of similar but also because of how they handle fights, the introduction of "power level" in Seven Deadly Sins is also a supporting evidence for that.

Fairy Tail on the other hand, started as a One Piece rip off that didn't quite understand how to actually do the whole friendship thing and used it as a plot crutch 24/7 until it drove the shit down.

And Seven Deadly SIns easily has far better writing than Fairy Tail, but only really because Fairy Tail's writing became utter gutter after the first few actually good story arcs. But at least Seven Deadly Sins has a vision on what it's trying to do and where the story is going, and does it quite alright.

Havent watched/read Fairy Tail Have read all of the 7 Deadly Sins

It has a bunch of issues, but none that come from winning through friendship (only know from rumors and friends who are FT fans) My problem with it is that it feels like we are on a wild ride of asspulls, and there is a decent chance that he has had everything planned from the beginning. There isn't enough foreshadowing for major revelations, and its going the route of DBZ. Seemingly too much action and not enough development. Like the most recent chapter, literally no hint or inkling about Napping and Pacifier demons being that important? Powerful? Idk I feel like Meliodas was touted as the number 1 strongest thing (besides the Demon King and Supreme Goddess) back in his prime, but the angels seem like weaklings comparatively and the demons like utter monsters so far. Bad scaling and storytelling, its quickly going the route of bleach for me in that I kept reading it only because I had already read the rest and might as well see how it ended.

first season was good second season was like "I have no idea how to fucking finish this thing so Imma just write some random crap and hope no one notices"

There's nothing wrong with half naked girls. It's actually a good thing.
