well my aunt n husband, cousin * her daughter * and my cousins kids all left the coast where the hurricane made land fall and are up in the dallas/ft worth area at my other cousins house (im in dallas fort worth as well )that strom is a few hundred miles from where im at we will get rain from it as it produces some storms but should be fine here. but thanks

While I sympathize with Texas deeply, and hope the damage will be minor , I am just getting used to someone not me getting hit by a hurricane/tropical storm.

I live just north of New Orleans, so I have a fair bit of hurricane experience.

Wasn't this predicted to only be a category 3 at land fall?
