Suggesting Tweaking Communication via Ping

Has this ever happened to you? You are in your lane, going even, the lane is slowly pushing but nothing dramatic; you get a ping from your jungler (or mid or sup) that they are "On the Way", you say to yourself "Ok, i'll try and let the wave push to me" you begin doing this in hopes that the enemy will over extend and thus setting up a easy gank.

The wave continues to push, now however it is frozen just outside of your turret, the wave got pretty big and your gank hasn't arrived yet...what happened? now you notice the gank looks prime for a wedding dress..where is your jungle? he pinged on the way awhile ago! You look and see that the jg is now pathing towards their red, "WTF" you think to yourself, i could've been playing way more aggro if i knew they were going to be this late! and now? Now the jg is going to take scuttle! Finally the jg pings on the wave as that wave which is double stacked now crashes into your tower.

Has this happened to you in your games? You get a ping that someone is on the way so you setup the wave to make the opponent overextend and it seems like a really long time before those ppl arrive, maybe they decided to push 1 more wave or decided to take a jg camp (or 2) before coming to your lane.

My suggestion is a ping wheel option that allows the player to give on-the-fly time frame windows of when they are expecting / estimating they will actually be in your lane.

So for example, say i'm support and i'm planning on going mid to roam, In the current system the only way to relay this is to ping that lane "On the way" a few times but that doesn't actually tell you what to expect, some ppl ping that as they are approaching the lane (suddenly with low prep time) and some times it's pinged way early but can be really difficult to judge what they mean exactly.

The Wheel I'd like to see added would be very simple, when you use the ping wheel to say "On my Way" that ping goes through (in my example the change would be after the initial ping) a secondary wheel would come up with different options such as

                                     ASAP

1 Minute or more x 30 seconds or less

                               After Camp Clear

This is very rough but the general idea is a follow-up ping to let the team mate know what you are actually planning, this also is good for communicating invades on the fly or planning a invade; so you could put "On my way" and that ping would show where you are going but also the followup wheel would give you the option of relaying to your teammates like "Hey lets go here"

which btw i think a option of saying in ping "meet here" or something along those lines should be added because for new players and tbh even now the pings are just confusing sometimes. We assume a lot when we see certain pings but when it comes to organizing fights or setting up objectives from a soloQ perspective there isn't a lot we can do to coordinate and generally speaking we are guessing what each other is planning. I'd like to personally see time frames (or something along those lines) added.

Also putting more direction oriented pings like "Meet here" "Invade" "Here next" things like that, more tactical descriptions so that players can communicate quickly to one another without having to be in voice comms to do it.

The ping wheel system is barbaric atm, it's the best of what we have but there needs to be more investment put into it, and i'm not sure if there are ways to bind certain things to keys without having the wheel or not but more clarity and option for that as well.

Personally i think that system should be improved on before the next ranked season kicks off, this will really help players coordinate with one another after they get use to these systems. Now obviously not everyone will use it but even if a player chooses not to use it, even if 1 player on your team is using it, that still means there are calls that can be rapidly relayed to teammates in a manner to which even the most new player can clearly understand.

I'd also like to see a option for the wave as well such as

'Freezing Wave' and 'Pushing Wave' that way Supports / Jg and anyone who is looking can clearly see what you are planning on doing with the wave
