YES I'm like bashing him for a year now finally people start to see how much of utter sht he is, I hate him almost as much I hate Ahri
edit: He is like new players trap "oh I want to try and learn adc" "wow ez looks like a good start" and then they play him like a mage and spam q from the end of the screen never aaing and when you tell them to start aa more they "look at my dmg graph i did so much dmg" while he just spam his useless q's on the tanks, so those players dont even get they are wrong.. he like one of the hardest adcs in the game to be efficient on people need to get that..

I actually just dodge when I see Ezreal picked. Picking Ezreal is solo queue clearly showcases said player's lack of game knowledge and understanding of the meta. It might as well be a troll pick at this point.

I think the rise of Ezreal players is because of the rework. Probably loads of people wanna learn how to play Ezreal because of that...
Problem is that people pick him because they think he is fun and easy when in reality he is the hardest ADC because right clicking will never be harder than hitting skillshots and if you don't hit skillshots you are literally useless. Also some people pick him, as others stated, because they think you just have to throw Q and never autoattack which is also false because then he is semi-useless. And finally, he generally sucks in this burst meta where MF or Draven have to autoattack you twice to kill you while Ezreal has to hit at least 10 Qs to kill a person, he is only a good pick if he snowballs early, which can be said for any champion, but Ezreal really does snowball hard because he can both engage and be hard to catch. But again, if you aren't fed early game and especially if you lost lane you might as well be playing a cannon minion. At least his rework is also a buff.
He's a strong generalist with tons of flexibility in builds. There is no good reason to let Ezreal be strong.
And if you think this is bad, you must not recall the nightmare period after Pulsefire came out. Every bad ADC with some RP to their name was metastasizing the cancer game-wide.
Ezreal is strong because he's the safest ADC in the game aside from Tristana.
Both of them got gutted in Solo-Q BECAUSE of that safety.
Ezreal has 800 range through Q in exchange for less accuracy and an E on a 14-8 second cooldown (depending on the Ezreal's accuracy), while Tristana has a massive engage/escape tool that resets on an assist/kill and self peel through her ultimate.
Next time you get an Ez doing meh damage, tell them to build hybrid.
