What's up with that? Does anyone have a website they know of where you can see champion pick / ban rates / play rates etc for the Chinese server? I just have a hunch and wanted to see if any of that data lines up with changes made to the game.
I've wondered about that before too, but a lot of Chinese players are on NA anyways. Half of my games have at least one person typing in Chinese, so I can't imagine their meta is significantly different like it is in South Korea. I always assumed it would just be like looking up EUW stats.
I'd bet it has to do with Chinese internet limits. A lot of internet is blocked there, with government knock off sites replacing other options. If riot routes data through a blocked site then no one in China could see their shit, so it might have separate, in country options.
Not like riot wouldn't accommodate them, even if tencent isn't actively making game decisions, you don't piss off your majority stockholder.
That being said, I wonder if there's stuff you could get if vpn'd into China and using services there.
