Ranked Tiers: Did you know?

If the entire world of ~7,700,000,000 people all played League of Legends, there would only be 2,695,000 players in Grandmaster!

There are fewer players in Iron than there are in Diamond, fewer players in Bronze than in Platinum, and fewer players in Silver than in Gold!

The top 50% of the playerbase is above Gold IV 15 LP, but if you go up just 3 divisions, to Gold I, you are now looking at the top 22% of all players!

If Challenger players were a chemical element, they would make up about the same percentage of the Earth's crust as Chlorine, a key ingredient in the manufacture of bleach!

There are more than 3 times as many players in Diamond I as there are in Master tier!

Bronze and Iron are the only tiers where most of the players in the tier are in division 1!

therefore, if you add sodium to a challenger player, you get salt.

Used to be silver 3 was top 50% now it's gold 4. Even though I benefited from this change this season I still hate it (hit plat 4).

I get why Riot changed it but ruined rankings for me and maybe others lol. Same tier distribution from season 3-8 and then... meh... f it. The Riot Games way indeed.

50% of the player base is above gold IV 15 LP, with fewer players in Silver than there are in Gold, that means that if I put a random number generator and I gave each player 1 number the random number generator would probably do a better job at match making than Riot's current system, because at G2 gaining 20-21 LP I still manage to get silvers in my team :) Riot is literally shooting at the long side of a truck and missing

that explains why i get only more idi*ts as I climb higher.

What about God Tier? What percentage of players make up that tier?

But what % of the population would be smurfs?

And I remember when Gold 5 was top 12,5% so sad to see this actually.

These facts are neat as numbers, but all I can think of is how awful and wrong the rank like 15% of these people are. Ranked has been busted for so long now :/

(still neat statistics and such)

silver 4 used to be where most players are since season 2... suddenly this season most are in gold.

in 1 season suddenly the majority climbed up to gold. if that doesnt tell you about the ranked system being a broken mess then idk what does.

nope. 50 percent is silver.
