I just played a game as Caitlyn with Sona vs. Aphelios and Senna.
So like, they both just have double my AA range?? Why not make a champion that can auto me from the fountain if you don't want other ADCs to play the game?
I was lucky enough to win this game, but only because I played incredibly safe and let my team carry me. It's annoying to be caitlyn and just take like 500 damage from something I couldn't avoid from more than double my AA range. Ugh.
Aphelios has equal AA range to Caitlyn when he has his sniper. In order to have more range than that, he needs to land a skillshot.
Senna has slightly less range than Caitlyn baseline, and needs at least 60 mist to exceed her range. Her Q can hit you at longer ranges, but she has to target a different thing, and it also can be sidestepped.
Their range is only larger than yours if they hit skillshots, which can literally be dodged.
no worries, round 3 of nerfs is coming next patch, guessing he will still feel the exact same though
his issue is no one really knows wtf he is doing and when, after a decent bit of playing against him you start to understand what each gun does, but it's not exactly clear which one is coming next, he can switch too quickly to be a jack of all trades for literally all trading scenarios, the kit is another bad design, go fucking figure
and he's not hard to learn to play either despite Riot telling you he will be, he's not, you can literally mash buttons and hit R to even burst tanks, just an unhealthy overloaded champion atm and probably until at least 10.5 and beyond
You can't out poke / sustain that lane.
You need an all-in lane. If you had a Leona, Nautilus, Pyke, Alistar, ... someone that knows when to engage you stand a chance.
Also, they're double physical damage. If your all-in support is stacking armor, things get a lot easier.
Obviously, you can't control your support's pick. Your support might have even picked before they did, ... but since that is what made it into the game, bot lane was lost in champ select.

that's a rough lane bro hats of to you for winning. First mistake was not banning aphelios tbh, at least he's being somewhat nerfed 10.3

^ pika here explains it. Im quite frankly tired of them GUTTING aphelios and senna. Absolutely tired of it. there's nothing wrong with them, they aren't that strong, theres definitely worse champions in the game.
Both have less range than you do. Aphelios gets more range to be at best equal to cait from one of his guns, which he starts off with, but other than that is fairly short ranged with no-low utility and 0 mobility in his kit.
Senna is slow and clunky, and gets higher range to help her actually function, but its still less range than cait's.
