Why do I need platinum skill level to climb in Iron?

I keep getting unwinnable game after unwinnable game that only a plat player could win. I keep getting very fed, and I do tons of damage to the enemy team every single game, but I literally just cannot win no matter how hard I try, and no matter how well I play.

Why in the hell would I need to be so fucking good at this game that I've been playing for years and years and years just to fucking get into the 2nd lowest tier??? It REALLY should not be this fucking hard just to climb in the lowest fucking tier. This is the hardest fucking thing in the world, why is it like this? Seriously, there are really really good players on the enemy team IN IRON and I cannot climb.

Because you don't. I'm pretty sure your average silver or low gold would easily climb out of Iron.

You don't. You need to be bronze to get out of iron, silver to get out of bronze etc. In rare situations luck also plays a factor. RIot has shown in a research that there are some players who do get very unlucky but that's a very small percentage.

~~Edit: I have seen a bunch of your games and it seams you are doing well. In fact you will be out of Iron for sure. My prediction is that this season you will earn gold if you keep yourself calm and lead your team. ~~

Its honestly kinda a shame theres no way to publicly test these kinda claims, but i have been curious. I rly do wish i could play in iron and see what its actually like.

I know gold and plat games feel quite abit harder because snowball meta gives u little chance to stop the bleeding caused by feeders and bad players. But i kinda feel like in iron a plat skill level player should be getting free kills constantly by just knowing the champs and having decent mechanics. And some level of knowledge of how to close out games should be able to translate that lead into a win against players of such low skill level.

But unfortunately all the players who've "never dropped that low" cant definitively say itd be easy to climb so unless riot opens up a way. Who knows.

I will say tho that focusing on bad luck is unproductive if u rly wanna climb. I assure u it isnt impossible, just maybe harder than before. But only way to be able to climb out on ur own is to improve yourself, teams arent getting any better.
