I complimented a Zed on some fancy footwork he used to outplay me.

His response was to tell me I'm trash. It's funny how accurate champion playerbase stereotypes are.

All I gotta say to that is, stereotypes exist for a reason.

Velzard of Koz9/25/2017, 8:12:15 PM7 votes

Maybe he was just both humble and honest and aimed to tell you he didn't do anything to outplay you, you're just bad and thus was easy target without him being good at anything.

It's funny that I've met a ton of nice Yasuo mains, but nearly every Zed and Ekko I've fought/had on my team has been neutral or negative.

PePsiLemoNN9/25/2017, 8:04:48 PM6 votes

Wonder why that happens when 99% of the time people saying those things are sarcastic :^)

Well, it's League.

The community is considered one of the most toxic communities in all of gaming, even to the point of giving Call of Duty a run for its title.

Welcome to online gaming :)

I remember having a similar experience while playin Kata vs Kata on mid lane. The enemy Kata was much more experienced and i lost fair and square. I decided to ask her for some friendly tips and hints, since i was never really good with Kata to begin with. To which the enemy Kata replied with: "Never play her again."

How am i supposed to get better at the champion if i never play them again? League of Logic, ladies and gentlemen.

A perfect example of confirmation bias (and prejudice) at work.

when your9/25/2017, 9:47:17 PM2 votes

you think this is a game?

Frost Hellfire9/26/2017, 11:18:38 PM2 votes

Honestly I didn't believe Zed mains were as arrogant as most of them actually are. Probably because I am a Zed main myself. I have seen enough of my kin be complete asses before though so I can confirm a vast majority is pretty obnoxious.

Colgate Gator9/26/2017, 4:11:47 PM1 votes

Being fair, context matters and how you said it. Chances are he took as if you were being salty and sarcastic so he went full soloq mode on you.

Nøstalgia9/26/2017, 4:53:05 PM1 votes

So one zed called you trash, all zed's are toxic ? Nice logic right there

Verxint9/26/2017, 8:22:58 PM1 votes

To be fair, the 0/7/1 Zed will call you trash when you kill him for the 8th time, I think it's just the only word they know.

Demented Gag9/26/2017, 9:14:41 PM1 votes

Because one Zed player called you trash, that means champion playerbase stereotypes are accurate? Confirmation bias?

ActivatingEMP9/26/2017, 11:07:05 PM1 votes

Pretty sure he thought you were being sarcastic. Still not justified, but slightly closer.

MeBuffULongTime9/27/2017, 7:08:37 PM1 votes

Do Thresh mains have a reputation?

Neurosurgeonwolf9/26/2017, 11:27:20 PM1 votes

Stereotypes exist for a reason.

Sadly I don't think that guy will have many friends until he changes that nasty attitude.

Red Wreckage9/26/2017, 5:22:26 AM1 votes

But maybe the Zed actually didn't do anything fancy at all, just some regular Zed play and you're actually trash and to you it appeared as something uber fancy outplay and you went on to compliment a basic play only to be told by that Zed what you really are, TRASH. That Zed is just being honest and here you are trying to defame him, instead of accepting that you really are trash, just like an average bronze/silver scrub.

IT IS funny how accurate champion playerbase stereotypes are.
