I mean literally what Riot did was buff his CC and nerf his damage via the rework. That will inherently make him better in higher tiers/more coordinated play where you can rely on your carries to do the grunt of the work and feed them kills while your effectiveness is tied innately to your kit.
That’s exactly what the boards wants, right? Just buff their tankiness/utility but not their damage 4head balance team.
What they don’t realize that it’s not fun to do almost 0 damage and not even be able to remotely carry fights and being 100% tied to your carries effectiveness. If you’re 10/0 on Zac you still can’t invade the enemy jg and kill them. The enemy team can play like absolute apes but it’s completely out of your hands to punish them if your carries aren’t also in position.
He’s still an alright pick in pro play, or even clash (it’s not tied to elo, mostly coordination - which does increase with elo in SoloQ as well).
It makes any champ shit tier in low-mid elo and SoloQ while making them good in any coordinated play. Cause Zac can lock down, displace, and CC people for days but it doesn’t matter when after they come out of the CC Zac has literally only scratched them.
Yes, revert Zac. But also accept that “just nerf their damage and buff tankiness” is a stupid balance strat for tanks. How about nerf pen items instead of making tanks even less fun to play.
