Poll: which rework did you vote for?

Madjack01·5/12/2019, 10:59:54 AM·12 votes·9,972 views

Just a simple poll to either give us a hint what rework it will be or to show a discrepancy between the voting forum community and the rest of the community.

Please leave a comment (tell me how your day was, your shower thoughts, your last dream, whatever...) to give this poll enough visibility to be relevant.

Edit: 101 votes (+ 4neutral votes) at point of writing. That's a damn high number and this forum's rework choice has become a bit clearer by now.

Edit 2: 179 total votes... That's actually pretty impressive and personally I can't wait to find out how these numbers match with the official votes.

Thanks for all the votes.

It's Dr. Mundo!!!

He didn't spend half his life tortured in a laboratory so you can just keep calling him "Mundo"! >:O

I voted for volibear because his theme is really cool and he has been useless for longer then any of those champions.

Also I think noc is ok and mundo and fiddle are not fun to fight as they are now because of there themes so I don' t really see how a rework in going to help that, and the shyvana one has me worried about what they what to do with her.

A Swarm of Koala5/12/2019, 3:07:38 PM3 votes

I thought they were all really good choices but I went with nocturne. He's old, janky, doesn't really fit the nightmare theme and his ult has been nerfed over and over until it's really not all that great.

Sincarnation5/13/2019, 1:31:06 AM2 votes

My order was Fiddlesticks > Volibear > Nocturne > Shyvana > Mundo

Of the 5 up there Fiddlesticks in the only one with a kit that is frustrating and doesnt really function, remake fiddlesticks into the spooky jumpscare champ we deserve

Volibear was 2nd not because I think he is weak or unpopular (I actually think he is a sleeper strong pick right now) but because he needs to match the badassness that he is in lore

Noctune, functional kit could use some modernizations

Shyvana, I kinda don't want her touched if they arent giving her a better passive. They think her thematic has potential and it does, visuals would be cool, im less certain about the whole kit overhaul it sounds like they would be looking at.

Mundo, Most functional kit and honestly perfectly fine imo and positive I could find a champ not on this list who needs a rework more than him

I voted for Nocturne since they said they will keep his ult, I want to see how crazy he becomes after the rework.

Damnit, now the entire poll is incorrect!

Who even is this Mundo-without-a-title? Sounds so mundane.

Irelia Bot5/13/2019, 12:50:51 AM2 votes

Fiddlesticks got my vote because he is the most lacking in counterplay and least fun to have to actually face outside of Noc oneshot build which is a problem with how many items provide front loaded damage since they don't have the same name passive (item 3147 item 3087 item 3742 item 3095).

Noc is my second choice given that he needs a cheese one shot build to be seen as a good option even with the good utility his ult brings. Quinn has much the same problem as noc.

Voli and Mundo are about the same level of problem. They are both juggernauts which as a class tends to have made top lane less about skill than pre 5.16 Both have massive healing as a key part of their kit.

Shyvana with a change to perhaps her E could become a lot better. She tends to show up more when farming the jungle camps is actually a thing but that is not currently the situation.

BLIGHTBRINGER5/13/2019, 8:22:06 AM2 votes

I voted for Nocturne because I felt as if he's really in need of it. His VO, Visuals, animations and model are quite outdated. Additionally I felt as if he was the only champion on that list who can't really combo his abilities well like the rest of the champions...

Raven Redeemed5/12/2019, 5:40:39 PM2 votes

It was a really tough choice. I went with Fiddle because I feel like he had the most to gain. His VO is bad, his kit is dated and is not fun to play against, he has a ton of theamatic potential, and I personally like him.

F Ù Ń5/13/2019, 11:15:46 AM1 votes

I voted Fiddle because I saw fiddle with a gun

G Master Hung5/13/2019, 1:59:52 PM1 votes

Only real veterans remember when Fiddle was a primary jungler.

HommeGoujon5/13/2019, 3:45:10 PM1 votes

Fiddle will win. Not because he needs a rework but because more ppl like playing him. Sad.

Starlight Knight5/13/2019, 3:51:20 PM1 votes

I voted for who I thought really deserved the rework in my opinion. For me, it was Mundo.

SanKakU5/13/2019, 3:52:15 PM1 votes

I voted for Nocturne and that's only because I think he's the most in need of visual update. If I could change my vote for a game play update then I would vote for Volibear instead. I don't like that they want to give Nocturne a game play update. Maybe they could update him and make him more interesting like they did for Taric, but I feel like there's so much risk involved in touching his kit compared to Volibear for example.

Salvor Hardın5/13/2019, 5:18:17 PM1 votes

I voted for, Volibear but I want all of them "reworked"

Did you realize that practically all of them are junglers? xD

Noblewind5/13/2019, 6:41:01 PM1 votes

My top choice by far was Volibear because he's a champ I could see myself actually playing after a rework (kit just isn't great now).

2nd would be Shyvana because I already like her a lot but the kit and visuals are dated.

Surprised by all the Fid votes. He definitely needs the most work but personally I fee like I'd still feel no desire to play him no matter what they do. Character itself isn't that appealing to me

Wolfalisk3185/13/2019, 8:03:39 PM1 votes

I voted for Shyvana because although balance-wise, visual-wise, and efficacy-wise she might not be the biggest offender on this list, Shyvana is the most failed concept in the entire game. She's a fearsome dragon but she has no capability to lock anyone down - you simply run away from her at a slightly higher speed and you will be safe. Not only is she not a threat but she also dies faster than a Skyrim dragon does on Easy against an enchanted Daedric Bow w/ Daedric Arrows, Ring/Necklace/Gauntlets of Peerless Archery, Archery Potion, and whatever other buff I'm forgetting.

Madjack015/12/2019, 7:21:27 PM1 votes

Hey, just 60 more votes and we have something that's mildly statistically relevant.

Thanks for all the votes so far.

I played ARAM today, they had fiddlesticks, not much to be said, as soon as the game ended, i went and voted for his rework

I voted for Mundo, but I'm predicting that Fidds will win

General Matty5/13/2019, 1:11:11 AM1 votes

I voted for Mundo because i love the champion but in all honesty Nocturne or Fiddlesticks really need the rework.

wmbkryboy5/13/2019, 1:46:07 AM1 votes

I feel like I could play any of those champions and perform fine with the exception of Shyvana. She just doesn't have a place as a bruiser and doesn't really fit as an assassin either. Feels so out of place with most team compositions. At least if I play the other champions I know my role and feel like their kits can accomplish the task that I've picked them for.

Sohleks5/13/2019, 2:11:04 AM1 votes

It seems like Fiddle is probably gonna win just because he's more different than the others. The others are bruisers therefor they are splitting up their votes between them, causing them to lose to Fiddle.

Similar effect basically happened way back when they'd put multiple US presidential candidates for one party on the ticket vs. the opposing parties' one. 3 X vs. 1 Y therefor X votes gets split therefor all of X lose to Y easily.

Hemulen Magi5/13/2019, 2:49:09 AM1 votes

I voted for Nocturne because, based on the champion descriptions in the poll, Nocturne seemed like the choice that Riot has the best vision for how to improve him. He lacks subtlety for being shadow-stalker, and it seemed like Riot wants to focus on giving him depth in a rework.

Right now, he's just a dive bomber who is super frustrating to play against and quickly becomes boring to play as. He's one of the two champions in the rework poll that I actually play a decent amount of (the other being Fiddlesticks) but I don't even even enjoy most of Nocturne's kit. The only part of his current kit I find very interesting is the global vision denial aspect of his ultimate. His E is okayish too, but the rest of his kit is very boring and too inflexible.

I want more specialization in Nocturne's niche of denying the enemies vision, and more nightmare illusions, and less low counterplay "press R" 1-shot potential. I want Nocturne's Q to reveal hidden units so that he can use it to clear wards. I want a brand new from scratch passive and W. I want his E tweaked to be more interesting. I his R to make everyone on the enemy team hallucinate that he is diving them to cause them to panic, and I want him to have more cooldown refunded if he doesn't dive anyone so that he can ult more often for mindgames and vision denial.

I want him to deal less damage so that can't burst down a full health target. Maybe his new W can provide him an option to slip away into the shadows to escape after an assassination attempt so that he can have a less reliable assassination success rate without just feeding as a result of his failures. He could have the best target access for finishing off fleeing opponents and good vision-denial utility, but the lowest burst damage of all assassins as part of his identity. He could be a very slippery champion and always a looming threat no matter where you try to hide, but with less brute force than most champions.

I voted for Volibear because he's just kinda boring to play but has a really cool concept going for him. I want him to be more fun and less udyr/mundo hybrid. Also i dont want fiddle reworked because i wanna abuse him as a support for a while longer.
