That moment when you realise Nunu's sad story
Popo, as he was called back then, and his sister Nana went on a journey to defeat the evil vegetable thieving bird Ani... euh Condor, planning to save their tribe from starvation in the process.
Finally catching up to their prey on top of an icy mountain, a furious battle occured. The evil bird unleashed a terrifying volley of icy death, but the siblings worked in tandem and outsmarted Condor at every turn. Popo and Nana cornered the evil bird. Victory was near and they could already taste the fresh vegetables which they would soon reclaim.
But Condor was not to be underestimated...
In pure desperation the evil bird conjured a blizzard which lasts to this day (due to unlimited mana). Nana threw herself in front of her brother to shield him from the impact...
A fatal act of love.
The fierce blast knocked her off the mountain and smashed her body against the side of the gigantic mass of dead stone and ice. Popo was paralyzed by the event which unfolded in front of his eyes in slow motion. The image of his shattered sister was to be ever burned onto his retina. Condor took the opportunity to flee.
The battle was over.
Popo, unable to accept failure and dreading to face his tribe, decided to live a life of isolation in the icy mountains. It was there that he would forge an unusual friendship. A yeti, broken by the mistreatment of man, wielded the power of ice and snow equal to Condor itself. Thoughts of revenge began to poison Popo's mind.
With the help of the yeti he would set out once again under a new name, Nunu, in honor of his sister.
