Objectives should deal more damage

When I think about objectives, I think about game changers and strategic choice. I also think about the risk involved in taking them.

Right now though these three things barely apply to them anymore after a certain point. Not only do they die so fast ( the boards already mentioned this a lot, but my point is about objective dmg) but also do they so little damage that there isn't enough risk involved when killing them. You just don't have to be afraid of the enemy team as much as you used to because either you clear the objective too fast or it does so little damage that it offers almost no advantage to the enemy team to let the objective wither you down a bit. There is just so little fucking strategy involved in this.

This is especially true for dragons.

While objectives don't start too bad and feel (with some exceptions) like a team effort in the beginning, they lose a lot of their strength very quickly.

This is why I would like to see an overall damage increase. With an increased risk to objectives, teams who are behind can make better use of bad objective calls by the enemy team instead of them just snowballing even harder.

Dammit, I just want objectives to feel daunting and threatening again. Not something you just do while casually strolling by.

Ps. I was thinking of calling this thread “we need more damage“, but I quickly discarded the idea out of fear some title warriors would find me in my home and throttle me in my sleep.

Indeed. Once a team has begun to get ahead, they tend to also then simply have their way with the objectives. It's a simple thing for them to just control them well into late game, especially if they've already started to snowball. There is rarely enough time to do anything -about- it.

Say:

In The Past: You lose 1 inhibitor. The way this used to work was you doubled down on defense, kept the waves away, and tried to keep the enemy team from pushing down another inhib. If you managed it, you could start mounting a counter attack. They -Might- baron, but generally if it's warded you could scramble and at least interrupt them, or harass them away from it, because Baron used to hurt. There were 4-5 champions that could solo baron, and only if extremely farmed, fed, and built for it.

Now: They push down an inhibitor, and by the time the first two super creep waves are down they've taken elder dragon and baron because someone just went and solo'd one, while the team killed the other.

They fall easily as it is, but they have no risk of a counter attack because they are taking literally nothing from the objective, so they are fundamentally at full strength if you go to interrupt.

Remember when doing Baron had actual weight to it if you fucked up any sort of timing or lacked damage, compared to this purple...looking thing that Yi carves into bits by himself with rageblade + botrk + bloodrazor + E?

dude last fucking game it literally went..... enemy mia for 3 seconds they did baron.... they rotate to elder in the time it took me to go from mid to elder they took elder... all of them full fucking hp and all of them now with double buffs..... (ryze ult helped them rotate fast)

That's pretty understandable if it was late game and everyone had 4-5 tier 3 items.

But I want to know was it mid game or late?

No one should be capable of soloing Dragon (let alone Baron) unless they have some MASSIVE gold lead on them, maybe.

ya, ive been playing yi on my smurf and taking dragon with just a recurve bow solo in less than a minute is super stupid, and baron dies in 2 secs if you have any mountain drakes

Towers need an increase in HP/Damage also while were at.

It feels pretty awful when you have the Baron warded and your team is up, but they're clearing minions in base and the enemy team manages to kill the Baron before anyone can get there despite knowing what they're up to before they even start.

as Kled with allot of armor and no enemy champions around I can almost always dive a tower to kill it. with damage capping off at +120% of base AD and my armor negating like 66% of it I can tank the hits and by the time Skarrl runs I will have the tower down.

realistically you shouldnt be allowed to take a baron (the boss member of the void or the cathulu of runeterra) solo he would wipe you out logically due to difference in size/weight/ acid. but its a video game where you can laugh at it cuz stats are all that matters not weight or size or whatnot. the solution is simple instead of ADD DAMAGE to objective monsters put more attacks/cc equiped on them then add some true damage in one of the moves as a surprise move. then add some burn damage on infernal with grievous wounds kinda like ignite should work but its infernal dragon so he should logically work that way. now baron should have a TahmKench w eat move to disable 2nd most threatening champ in terms of damage, then use its actual size/ weight to its advantage and crush the challenging champs facing it instead of letting its weight go to waste put aoe true damage and grievous wounds to make it a threat big enough to actually dodge its attacks like a raid boss should be done. blue and red buff monsters should be increased in power and provide some cc either in slows or stuns or knockups dont care, which they just need something instead of being called a blue or red buff its actually insulting to them all they are just buff holders nothing more aka a waste of space.

as a joke if kench ate the gromp is it cannibalism?

Kench is a catfish not frog. Secondly, Reksai is close to Nashor in size and probably dwarfs his weight if Nashors in game size is accurate.

And then Malphite wouldnt even notice the so called Baron. Like an ant crawling on a body builders leg. Of course, Cho'Gath can potentially surpass even Malphite if the lore is as I remember....

if you have a mountain drake and your bloodrazor bork as yi you can 1v1 baron right when it spawns

Turrents are objectives. If they start to deal more damage, expect a lot more akalis and pantheons since they are the only ones who will dive you without caring about turrent damage (akali stealth, pantheon passive)

LordGeovanni1 votes

pantheon can block 1 maybe 2 tower shots max this wont make him more desirable with how squishy he is if he builds damage. not akali who clips towers shots so she is not only dodging damage she is resetting the ramp up every time she does.
