Why a hard reset is necessary and get rid of DUO

Soft resets are horrible. They are horrible they are straight up toxic.

  1. you get smurfs anyways. If I am getting smurfs in my games anyways then the game is already a toss up. Despite being a jungle main I cannot carry the team against a stupid smurf. So next season put everyone on a platform. The Bronze platform. Have them climb out. People that are plat plus will in fact climb. This is due to the fundamentals they have at their disposal in their games that enable them to secure the wins they need to climb. Higher Elo players know how to trade and know how to secure objs know how to kite and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO PINGS. I hate that as a Jungle main my team will not swing over to drake to help me secure it despite my pinging and having lane priority etc. I am actually trying to win and climb here but I can't carry a team that says ff15 when one person dies early game.
  2. Stop lying and whining about a hard reset because it affects YOU more than someone else. Are you boosted? no? then stop crying like I said you know how to kite secure objs and win trades if you are plat +.
  3. get rid of the DUO queue so people cannot get boosted.
  4. create an mmr system that rewards more for warding and securing objs if only slightly. This way if you lose and you secured baron elder towers etc. one point gets taken from your loss of lp for each obj you assisted in securing.
  5. This aint rocket science. This is basic math. Smurfs go low elo anyways. Put everyone on the same platform to start the season. It's a marathon like crosscountry and some people make it to the finishline first regardless of being behind everyone.

You are delusional if you think that hard reset would improve things. It would literally create cesspool. Can you imagine how disgusting it would be to play this soloQ?

  1. You hate smurfs but hard reset will automatically turn every plat+ player into a smurf
  2. Plat+ players will climb, sure, but they will also ruin quite a lot of games during their climb from bronze. Why even bother if we know they can climb anyway? Just softreset them to lowgold
  3. Duo ranked is there since the very beginning. Its not that easy to boost in duo, especially in higher ranks, its much easier to just share your account data to the booster. Meanwhile duo removal will force players that mostly play ranked as duo to quit ranked, and less players=worse matchmaking and longer queues
  4. As long as the system cares about your ingame stats, it will be abused. "Well they are pushing our base and looks like we can't defend, might as well sneak a tower and lose less LP"
  5. Yes they can hardreset everyone. Yes skilled players will eventually climb. Yes smurfs exist. Still, why should they even do it? There are a lot of "hard reset isn't that bad" reasons in your post, but no "we should hardreset because X". There are no advantages to hard reset, only more grind for skilled players and more coinflip games for everyone else for first 2-4 weeks

The reset applies to only rank; MMR remains unchanged. The people you are in games with now are the same people you were in games with before. If you want MMR to reset as well (hard or soft), that's when you would be more likely to get both players above your skill level and players below your skill level. What you are asking for would amplify what your complaint is.

I'm not going to read the rest of your post, though I agree that duo-queuing should be flex only.

yeah people would just boost an account and then sell it instead
