TIL that I can dislike all the individual components of a thing but like the thing anyway.

Case 1: Reuben sandwiches.

I dislike rye bread, corned beef, thousand island dressing, and sauerkraut individually, but I tried a Reuben today and holy god it was the best sandwich I've ever had.

Thought that was interesting. Carry on!

Lol it's like putting all the things you hate into a sandwhich and like alchemy a heavenly sandwhich has been transmuted into your hands

I don't quite enjoy spinach on its own but it fits well with Semmelknodel

I used to hate rice. I just don’t enjoy it on its own or in most meals it is used.

Tried it in what I assume was an enchilada? Tortilla, cheese, chicken, and hot sauce and the new item ... rice. It was like I had no idea what I was doing eating it without it.
