(Rant): Riot Design Team and Balance Team. (Mini Kai'sai rant too)

Do I need to go on any further? Hire some challenger players, master players, MAYBE even diamond 1-2 players. People who know how to fully play the game with solid mechanics. (Not saying they all do but im sure that can easily be tested).

Like do these latest patches just feel absurd and lackluster to anyone else????? Is there anyone else out there that thinks riot doesn't really know what their doing?

Hire players who know the mechanics and small details of the game. People who play the game all the time and know what needs to be fixed or tweaked and what not.

Do you want to know why so many people hate the balance team and design team? Because they're doing stuff like nerfing Yorick when he was already in a pretty meh spot. They're doing stuff like creating an adc named kaisai with:

  • Stealth (Not camouflage. Actual stealth like vayne ult +q or shaco's q)

  • A shield

  • A dash

  • Movement speed buff

  • Physical damage

  • magic damage

  • Damage over time

  • Burst damage

  • % max health damage

  • a 'x' number of hits passive

  • an attack speed buff

  • an aoe attack

^^^^^^ LIKE WHAT IS THIS???? WHY DOES SHE HAVE EVERYTHING FROM EVERY ADC???? When has she ever been a low pick? What team comp does she not fall into? Why is she the only champ that has everything everyone in her roll basically has/wants?

"Oh but she has less attack range." That hasn't stopped her at all. Literally.

Sorry for the mini rant but I'm just saying the design team and balance team really need to have a reality check on whats best for the game.

Patches tend to become more lackluster as big tournaments approach. You can go through old patch logs and see the pattern. She'll likely get hit pretty hard after worlds.

You're wanting them to hire from an incredibly small selection of players that would firstly need to have a desire to apply to Riot, secondly be a good fit for the work place, and thirdly have actual understanding of game design. Being in challenger wouldn't magically make someone good at balancing league, just like driving a car doesn't mean you know how to build one. imaqtpie doesn't even read patch notes, what makes you think he'd be able to balance the game when he doesn't have a single clue why any change is made?

Ekko launched with:

-three hit passive -slow -speed boost -last hit assistance with his passive -aoe spell (with another slow) -shield -aoe stun -missing health damage on every auto -two dashes -aoe nuke -invulnerability -health restore

The only thing he didn’t have was stealth...

  • Physical damage Every champion has physical damage, plus shes an adc.

Yeah okay, so your main complaints are about her R, E, and Passive. Her Q does reduced damage to a single target/those hit by multiple rockets. Her E only gets stealth after being evolved, and that's about after 1st to building 2nd item. Her R is fine, its a dash ON AN ADC that gives a shield, if I were gonna dash right into a fight with no shield I'm pretty sure I'd be dead.

You act like you've never played against mixed damage before.

You can't list everything a champion does and then call them "op", otherwise every champion is OP.

Talk about how much each ability does. How many effects?

Except pros tend to only balance the game around their level of play and don’t consider the tiers of bronze-diamond.

The playtesters are high diamond though
