I would actually love to hear from people who are actively toxic on why they do it. For one it's hard for me to understand why they feel the need to start being so hostile over simple mistakes that everyone is prone too. As someone who has never had a strike on any accounts in any video game and has never been toxic, I want to understand the thought process of it. And I'm talking about players who go after normal people trying to do their best, not trolls.

I know it sounds crazy, but we could also not jump to conclusions about the total worth of a guy based on 15-20 minutes of single game.

It is easier to break something than (re)build it. That is why we should restrain ourselves from releasing all the anger at someone else.

It just takes accepting losses. The shit head on your team will lose their game for you regardless of how much advice you give them. Either carry them or take loss and move on. Talking to them won't ever help, just risks you losing your account if some snowflake gets offended.

I think some people just have difficulty with not being vocal. Like maybe they were neglected when they were younger and feel the need to talk in game to get attention to make up for it.

Meanwhile I only say gg once per game (and that is literally the only thing I put into chat) and have never been punished and I visit the boards and wonder how so many people even get punished when it's that simple to just not get punished.

Every single time if you look at people on the forums who bring up their chat logs about "why did i get banned for this" they have like more than 5 messages in chat. Personally I think that's way too much and you could probably be communicating with pings or emotes better. I don't even bother reading what they said, but if you enter more than 5 messages into chat, then it's probable that you hit something that gets you banned.

There's no reason to step on every stone in the garden unless you really want to find and trigger the hidden landmine under one of them. Just take the shortest path and you'll be fine.

Limit the messages you send and you'll never get punished.
