RIP two more of my mains

I don't know who comes up with these ideas to change champs that don't need it. Once again I find myself on the wrong end of a champion kit change.

Zac- Does his Q still slow on contact or does this really only work when 2 champions are near. I am a long time Zac top and let me tell you, this change completely blows. From what it looks like the only real damage when he has hit a 2nd opponent. This is a terrible change, especially for those used to using him solo lane; whether it be top or mid. That new ultimate blows hard chunks too. Zac's ultimate wasn't meant to be a one and done ult. It was used as a way to completely disrupt the enemy team, even those who came in late with his increased movement speed and the range it can give him (not to mention flashable). Now, you have no control of his ult other than 1 direction it goes. You took a very binary ult and made it linear. On top of which, Zac's ult produced multiple blobs per hit, which means in a 1v1 lane fight, using his ult later in the skirmish meant a lot of health recovery. Let's not BS what this change is, this is a nerf.

Sejuani- The fact anyone felt a change to Sej was necessary is beyond me. Again, this to me looks like a nerf. Sej's main goal was to get inside an enemy team, and literally sit on top of them while her AoE W and sunfire/cinderhulk did mass area damage. Her job was similar to that of Amumu, be sticky and keep the area damage ticking. Now, we've changed her W completely forcing her to target 1 specific champion at a time. Even her knew passive is a nerf. Granted it gave her slow immune, but unlike her old passive, it's now removable! Sej's passive always reset every time she hit an enemy champion, meaning she would never lose it if she played right. And let's not forget to mention that it appears the YouTube video forgot to even address her ult change, as it clearly showed a new ult being casted, but didn't tell us how it actually works. You're going to find you just created a new Sej support bot lane that people will use her similar to Braum. Allowing sej to just sit here while long range champs like Caitlyn hit the target enough to proc a stun from Sej.

Good greif. When will this end.

after reading your comments i have to say: please inform yourself about the stuff before you complain about it. like you dont even seem to know what they are doing with zac.

Funkin Dunkin1 votes

Well my bad that I'm using direct information linked from a leagueoflegends client. Perhaps you should write to them and complain that their youtube video's are sub par for your liking.

Timethief491 votes

You didn't know how exactly his q works but you judge how terrible it is

Funkin Dunkin1 votes

I do know exactly how it works because I looked it up. On top of that, I have over 100k mastery points on Zac. I know what he is exactly capable of, and how this change is simply going to remove him completely. It looks to me you are simply flaming just for the sake of flaming because someone has a different opinion than you. But rather than giving examples or information, you just grief. Good job!

zacs rework actually looks rather interesting.

maos is kida dumb, since it removes versatility off the tank pool more than anything else. there are enough tanks out there with aoe cc ults. i dont see any real reason to pick him over amumu now.

they should have built on the protection aura and made the ability more interesting instead. or his w. not sure what they were thinking.

cant say much about sejuani. in principle i like the idea of more champion kits that synergize with melee champions over ranged chmpions. there is a massive portion of the champion pool thats made to support ranged carries and peel for them, but not many champions that are good at supporting melee carries in specific.

Funkin Dunkin1 votes

Having never really played Mao I couldn't say but yes, his damage reduction should have been played out on more. I think they completely took Zac out of the game. I'm not even sure how his Q would work even as a jungle gank outside of bot lane.

you can use it on minions last i saw. grab the champion, and slam him together with a minion.

might actually be op if it also worked with grabbing minions first, since that would make the ability really damn reliable.

Funkin Dunkin1 votes

If that's the case his solo lane may still survive. I'm really not on board with his ultimate though.

Starcraft243ver1 votes

This is a terrible change, especially for those used to using him solo lane; whether it be top or mid.

And when they removed the wires from phones it was a terrible change for people using them to hang themselves.

Zac was never designed to be played top or mid, so that's not really a problem.

Funkin Dunkin1 votes

Who specifically said he wasn't meant to play lanes? Was it a Riot employee? Were you there Season 2 when Zac top was all the rage? Or is this a meta junkie who simply goes by what a guide says?

LankPants2 votes

Zac was released in season 3, but yes top Zac was definitely a thing for a while then.

meowwow71 votes

actually zac's q hits any enemy units

Funkin Dunkin1 votes

Yes but more importantly it doesn't hit ALL enemy units in that range. It just hits one now. Or two.

hit enemy champ auto minion get a new hard cc.

A lot of the reworks you listed were pretty good.

Lugg1 votes

The changes to Zac are HUGE improvements for the player and opponents. No idea why you think they are bad.

As for Sej, she definitely needed changes. She was nothing more than a lower quality Amumu.

rip indeed

It sounds like you didn't even do any research on the reworks before you made this post.

Zac's Q can be used on a minion allowing you to slam a champion into a minion in top lane. This gives Zac two forms of HARD cc on his basic abilities which is extremely powerful. In fact, I can't think of any champion that has two forms of hard CC on non-ultimate abilities. His ult now has a much higher skill cap but when used properly is much, much more powerful. It's basically a Skarner ult except it can grab multiple champions. It makes Zac an extremely hard counter to immobile ADCs and mages.

Sejuani's W can hit multiple targets, it is not single target. Furthermore, she now synergizes extremely well with melee champions since they can help her proc her stun. This allows Sejuani to stun multiple targets and then deal Maximum % health damage to them via her passive. Sejuani and Amumu used to basically fulfill the same role on a team. Now with the changes to Amumu's passive and the changes to Sejuani's kit there are clear reasons why to pick one champion instead of the other in certain situations. Amumu synergizes better with AP comps while Sejuani synergizes better with AD comps (especially comps with divers or assassins.)

Funkin Dunkin2 votes

My research is based off of the exact link given from the client. If you don't like it then take it up with their marketing team because this is where the information was given. At no point in the video did they even address if Zac could use his attack on minions and if you even bothered _ looking_ they actually left out Sej's new ult entirely. Unless there is no new ult and she simply got a visual change, which was also not mentioned.

Sej's new W can only hit targets in front of her with the one directly in front being affected twice. This is in effect a 1 target skill. The original skill use to be splash around the targeted area, therefore being able to use E almost immediately on a group. This change is almost exactly what they did to Skarner a while back when they placed his passives on Q and gave stuns out via AA. There's nothing new or original about this change except for the simple fact people didn't want to bother to learn how to play her. And those that did are now stuck with a lower version of what she was originally capable of.

Also, Zac does NOT have two forms of hard cc from 1 Q. It only has one as long as you've managed to hit 2 champions/minions within 2 seconds. It is also very easy to avoid by simply being behind a minion/jungle monster. This only gives him 1 form of cc that only affects 2 units, as opposed to the group slow that his old Q used to have.

Randomonium1 votes

So you're saying is all you did is watch a 6 minute video rather than actually go to the midseason website: http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/featured/midseason-2017

Sej's new W can hit multiple targets with both swings. Her first swing is a shorter ranged arc and her second swing is a longer ranged line. If a target is close to Sejuani and directly in front of her it will get hit with both swings. Furthermore, Sej's new E stuns a target rather than slows it and her passive now deals a massive amount of damage to stunned targets.

Zac has hard CC on his Q and hard CC on his E. That is what I meant with 2 forms of hard CC on basic abilities.

How about you actually play the freaking champions before you come whining to the boards about how Riot ruined your champions.

Funkin Dunkin2 votes

It's becoming abundantly clear that I'm not the one who needs to worry about playing champions. You either: A) grammar sucks and can't perceive a point B) actually don't know a champion but because riot says its a good change you're all on board the good ship lollipop.

You have zero clue as to how this Q is GOING to work, but you don't seem to have input as to how it used to work and what change it'll cause. Zac has always had 2 forms of hard cc and now he has 2 1/2 (I'm calling it 2 and a half because his ult isn't moveable now thus turning more into a Zyra ult). Who care's if Sej's W swings in an arc and hits the person in front of her twice? You still need 2 more hits for this even to proc. Which also means players who use sej top lane (like myself) can no longer Q in, AA + W poke, and E to safely walk away. And she isn't the type of lane champ to be able to stay in a fight for 2 more hits just to proc a stun 2 hits later that would have had the same damage prior to the patch with fewer hits.

Riot did the same exact seem they tried to do to Skarner. They are trying to remove the lane ability of these champs and force them into a 1 dimensional role. Thankfully, that didn't work against Skarner and I'll be damned if they succeed here. But we don't need trolls like you flaming people with no real input for conversation. All you're clearly doing is jumping on the bandwagon with all the other player behavior and moderation issues this site is having and flaming people for having an opinion.

Edit- Forgot to mention that her E will only proc on one champion. Not all who were affected like previous. So not only are you losing out on overall damage, you're only affecting 1 enemy champion as opposed to upwards of 5. And her ult, only freezes on person but slows the rest. Essentially they turned sej into a half mix of skarner and ashe.

Kind of hilarious that you insult my grammar when you can't even construct a sentence that makes grammatical sense. You literally just said "you grammar sucks and can't perceive a point."

I have over a hundred games on both Sejuani and Zac. Furthermore, I have a PBE account. So I can honestly tell you that you have no idea what you're talking about and you should play the freaking champions before whining about them.

Funkin Dunkin1 votes

If you can't tell that is grammatically accurate then stop posting. And 100 equates to what exactly, maybe 30k points on them? Additionally, (grammar is great) who cares if you have a pbe account. If you are clueless then stop talking. I finally played Sej and I am 100% accurate on all my claims. Her damage output is down, wave clear slower, and overall area damage in team fights is significantly down. They turned her into a utility champion who does slightly higher damage, but can't even freeze the same target she ulted. So you might as well pick Skarner if you want chain cc. On top of which, (also grammar), Her passive only lasts for two seconds!! That changes from a recharge passive that was frankly OP vs AD teams.

Randomonium1 votes

You are clearly insane. Her stun is on a 1.5 second cooldown (8 seconds to stun the same target) and once she stuns a target she deals up to 20% of their maximum health. I'm going to have a lot of fun playing the new Sej and Zac, you keep whining like the spoiled brat you are. Or better, why not just quit since Riot is such a horrible company that ruins everything.
