Leveling a smurf, noticed something odd.

So I'm leveling up a smurf account, and I've noticed something in the few games that I've done. I'm like lvl7 i think, and I noticed that I'm getting more exp usually from bot games, then I am from pvp games. shouldnt we get more exp from pvp games than bots? I mean, without that there is like no point in playing pvp on a smurf, when I can just wreck bots and get more exp, and level up faster. Anybody else noticed this? or know the system that determines the exp gains? If a red could comment on this with some clarification, it would be greatly appreciated! :)

isnt that how its suppose to be? you usually level faster within the first 10 levels after that you should be familiar with the game and as such bot games will give less exp and pvp games give more!

Thats weird to me, I think that overall pvp should give more exp. Because I think that after lvl10 bot game exp just decreases, and pvp stays the same. It should have a notable exp increase from the start in my view.

It's only weird to you because you are a smurf. A legit level 7 is benefited by being encouraged to avoid pvp initially. That way they can get at least a basic familiarity with the game without being stomped into the ground by smurfs like you.

I think they would learn more in pvp then, because they could face people like me. and every game I always ask who else is smurfing, and if my lane opponent isnt smurfing and is new, I generally take it easy on them, and just farm and let them harass me. Even gives them some tips and stuff.

That puts you in a vast minority. If I were to play against, say, Bjergsen right now, Ill I'd actually learn is how to get curbstomped by Bjergsen. A good number of smurfs will say they're taking it easy, but it won't feel that way to their opponents.

The difference in familiarity counts for more than you seem to realize, and legit pre-10s are still dealing with this. They're still learning things we take for granted, like watching the minion wave behind them deplete while killing a tower. They can read everything, watch pro games, and it won't measure up to just...doing it. So yes, the earliest gamers really should stick to bots, as bot games are much more suited to this part of learning.

I wonder if they (riot's matchmaking engine) recognized that you were a smurf, and is trying to push you into co-op vs ai games so the true noobs can play together without a smurf wrecking faces. Would be pretty smart by rito! Wouldn't count them out.

If only there were a Wiki that had all this information in great detail...
