Dunkey Banned? My opinion.

I've been on these boards for quite a long time, and been playing league for a long time as well. I had never even heard of this man until just recently. I found out he was well known in sections of the community, has over a million followers on youtube, and is around the plat level of play.

So I have one thing to say about Rito banning him.

GOOD! I look at some of the content he has uploade, watched his video about his ban, and a bunch of others. He has basically lied to all of his fans, to try and play the victim. HE said he was banned because of an intentionally feeding malphite in his game? Well, he has like over 10 games AFTER that game, because it's not even in his match history. Meaning he was toxic to people well after that game. You need MULTIPLE reports to get banned. I have had a chat ban before for being toxic, it lasted like 2 games. You know why? Because I was a toxic fuck-head. What did I do after? I straightened up. Yeah I've had moments of toxicity, because yeah I take this game probably a bit too seriously. But I've not had ANY kind of a ban/restriction since.

Dunkey does stupid things like pretending to be afk, and intentionally trolling his team-mates to get viewers. Dude, he's basically the male version of Kaceytron.

So personally, I hope that Dunkey keeps to his word, and really does stop playing league of legends. Because we don't need people falsifying their videos to get viewers, to make Riot seem like they are the bad guy. I've played a LOT of online games, and I can tell you that Riot actually does listen to their players WAY more than most of the other companies. Yeah, the game is not perfect, but here is the thing. NO GAME IS PERFECT.

People on the east coast complain about high ping? Riot just recently moved their servers to help them. The community says "We wish these champions could get a rework!" and a lot of them do. "Things in your shop are too expensive" What did they do? They made an alternate clothing line, that is cheaper.

So for you people saying that Riot is terrible, and never listens. Maybe you should listen yourself. Because obviously you're not paying attention.

I'm a big dunkey fan and I love his dark humor and rather original way of cussing (come on you must admit that what he said to this malph was well thought) but I 100% agree with Riot about the ban. They can't allow him to be toxic in chat just because he makes videos for their game. Riot did the right thing especially considering it's a temporary ban. This is more like a warning than an actual punishment (because a "warning: stop being toxic please." does nothing if there's nothing tied to it). They could probably have given him a permanant ban for it if they wanted to (but I think they always go with a temp ban first which is nice).

The sad thing IMO is that Dunkey took it the wrong way. All Riot wants is that he keeps his cussing and flaming out of the league chat. It's fine to do it in the videos and call his teammates morons there, but not ingame. Not everyone knows who dunkey is and that all he does is cussing. People who don't know him actually get offended by him (and some who do know him do too).

I guess it has more to do with dunkey actually getting bored of league than him getting banned. If he really just leaves the game for a 1 week ban, it's kind of childish. I hope he comes back, though, but I doubt he will after such serious video about it. Maybe in a year or so.

I don't know Dunkey and actually never heard about him. But I do know the Riot system when it comes to toxicity, and it doesn't ban people for it for nothing.
So basically, if he really did be toxic, Riot got proof and chat logs and he deserves it. If he didn't, he will be unbanned soon (Riot support is performing good enough to solve a problem like this in one or two days).

And seriously... It's only a fourteen days ban. Just enough time to think about why he did get banned, and what he has to do to improve his behavior. So I would say yes, he deserves this ban from what you said, and the fact Riot didn't seem to have made a mistake (I'm not an english native speaker, I hope this wasn't too ugly :S).

But you know... You saw through me, I'm a potatoe :3

Each person is responsible for their own actions and emotions. He could've easily played the match out, with his cock holster shut, taken a break so that he washes the tilt away, and started again with a fresh head. If he's wanting sympathy, he can find it in the dictionary between shit and syphilis.

Moving the servers so the people further west can go suck eggs, good solution!

Runes still expensive, champs still expensive, look at other game pricing models for better ideas.

The sheer fact he was chat ban well before his actual ban should have told him to cool it. I understand his shtick, but its stops being funny when you hurt others. What ever your opinions are on trash talk is irrelevant because this is Riot's game, and they make the rules. you break said rules, you suffer the consequence. He broke the rules (no matter how you feel about it he still broke them) and not only was he given ample warnings (from warnings in games, to chat restrictions) and because he didnt listen, and continue to act like that he is suffering the consequences for his action.

It should have ended with that. If he was a decent human being he would understand why he was ban and just take it like any normal person would. From his recent video it feel like he is some spoiled child who didnt get away with doing something wrong, and is now throwing a tantrum. So he'll quit making league videos, he can/does make other types of videos. so whats the problem? He chosen not to come back to league (if thats even true you can never tell with him) no one forced him out of it. If he wants to continue to play league/make league videos all he would need to do is follow the rules just like every single person who plays this game. He is not above anyone in this game, no matter how famous he is in the community. That shouldnt justify that you can break the rules and not have some type of punishment!

All in all i will say that it was bound to happen sooner or later. And i hope this changes people tone about this game. Especially towards "popular" people. Anyone who breaks the rules will have to face the consequences sooner or later. Dont like the rules, leave. play a different game, but most types of games (especially of this genre) usually follow these set of rules. If not, then knock yourself out with that new game you find, and leave League to people who actually enjoy it without the need to harass others while playing!
