Best thing to tell your support.

Recently I became a support main, going back to my favorite roll ever. It's the most fun for me. I enjoy being the support, and helping somebody else get fed, instead of getting fed myself. I've also noticed that we supports, we get beat up a LOT, often times by our own adc. But recently, I met an adc in solo que, that after some though, I realized he gave me the best compliment ever. I'll admit him and I had an unusually good game(and several more since) We did not add eachother after the first game, and a few minutes later I queued up, and he was actually in my team again! This is where it actually surprised me. Because when we saw me in champion select, he said "Oh thank god. I waited a few minutes to que up because I did not want to risk laning against you, so glad you're on my team again"

Now, after some thought, I determined that was the nicest thing I've ever had an adc say to me. He literally said that he was delaying himself playing a game he enjoys, because he did not want to face me as an enemy, because he did not think he could beat me. That made me strive to perform because feeling that good, carries into your play.

Since then we have played 6 games, won all of them. I don't know a single thing about them. Their gender, age, nationality, race. We have voice coms, but we don't even use them. We hardly type during games, but we always do well.

So to all you ADCs out there, sometimes just giving a compliment can make a great difference in how your support plays for you. And to my fellow supports, if you run into an ADC that actually does compliment you, don't take it for granted. The league community is bad enough. And my experience with this person in the last few days has drastically improved my attitude. Even when I'm playing solo, and people have a bad game, I give compliments, and ideas, and don't break them down now. I tell them nicer things, and honestly, I've been having WAY more come-back victories.

So remember everybody, sometimes, when you want to say toxic shit to people for not doing well. We have all been there, and I know I'd rather have somebody try to help me, instead of breaking me down farther.

It could save your elo.

Played Draven for the first time (I sucked with adc's). Laned against Janna and more experienced Draven. I was like: ok I'm totally get blamed this game just make it fast >_<

My Support Thresh beat the shit out of them (hook-lantern stuff etc) and I was like 7/1/2 after enemy-Akali roaming bot-lane. Got a quadra kill at the end of the game and I was like Rammus

Had no clue how to thank that Thresh proberly for that amazing experience :X

As a support main, a simple good job is great. We are so under loved :(

I get my satisfaction from playing support watching a practically unstoppable and unkillabale carry 1v5 the enemy team, or watching my underfarmed and underleveled carry still dish out a beating because my team is keeping them safe and alive. compliments are nice of course, but I think its understood that I am just doing my job like everyone else.

BUT. When the ENEMY team credits me as single handedly carrying. MAN DOES THAT FEEL GOOD!

Just yesterday I was in a game, as Support Lulu , my ADC Graves didn't talk a whole lot but we worked really well together, it was mid game when I was running around with our Akali, when their Ekko pulled of a very clutch ult, Akali and I thought he was dead but he got his ult off and we both died, I told him that was really awesome, shortly after though, our Akali was ganged up on by their team I got to her fast enough to use my Ult and she got a quadrakill on their team, and it was the Ekko that said "No Lulu THAT was a clutch ult!!" it made me feel really good and both Akali and I gave him honors.

I've seen a lot of people that want /all chat disabled without the ability to have it turned on for anyone, but I enjoy being able to tell the enemy team when they pull some sick move off!

But to what your point of the post is, yea it gets tough working with someone in the bot lane as a support main, I've seen both supports and adc's be so nasty to each other instead of trying to figure out the problem and change things they just name call.

Games where people actually are helpful and kind to one another are def much more fun and more likely to pull off a win!

Haven't read post. But the ADC should always say "thanks", "nj", "ty". If something goes wrong, that is completely fine. You have the whole match to make up that mistake.

I play mostly Healing/Protection supports. I get the occasional "MVP Soraka" or "This support" (for when I flash into the Ashe/Jinx ult that would have killed our fed carry or anyone on low HP)

Other than praise and teamwork badges, I've never befriended anyone in a league game.

i was playing support Lulu and roamed to mid lane to help out a Katarina. their jungle was chasing her and about to kill her but i ulted her plus shielded and she made it out alive. She said "OMG, best lulu NA." i felt my heart sink. this is why the support role ImO is the best in the game.

Had a spell the other day where I lost 3 games in a row, as Bard every game and in the third one I was supporting a Vayne. We lost that game but it didn't really have anything to do with our lane in particular. In the post game chat I said "Hey Vayne thanks for not being a douche" because, let's face it, it's Vayne and we lost, normally that's a free trip to the cesspool. The Vayne player said "You were a really good Bard" and sent me a friend request, definitely made me feel better about taking 3 losses in a row. Sometimes the Bard carry is just too hard to pull off.

One of my favorite duos is a guy I supported a long time ago. We still duo queue every now and then, and we still wreck just as hard :)

I'm so happy you found a comrade whom you can enjoy your adventures with out in the rift.

I wish you both many good games to come.

The best feeling ever when your ADC trash talks the enemy team for having their support get them fed with a perfect kda until they die at 20 min in the second big team fight

I make it a point to compliment my supports. When I play Tristana bot and I go 6/0/0 against a Caitlyn/Soraka lane-up, my team marvels! "Trist, you're so good!"

But really, down in bot lane, we know the truth.

Nautilus carried my arse.

I always mention this towards game end. As an ADC, having a good support is super noticeable. Probably no one else on your team really notices how hard you're working. I figure since I have first rank seats to your performance, I'll be the first to compliment your play when you do well.

there is nothing enjoyable about this game. You would first have to have a good adc as a support for that to happen.
