Soraka healing is a little too much.

As any support main can tell you, there are a few that still need some fine tuning. However, today I'm putting the focus on soraka.

Personally, as somebody who has played against her, and as her, her healing is WAY too strong.

When it gets to the point that and unfed soraka support, can out heal 2 people dealing damage on her adc pre-6, that needs some work.

Her healing needs a higher cooldown.

This has been a problem lately with a lot of champions, is that they get over-loaded kits. With Sorakas re-work, thats what she got. I'm not even a good soraka, but holy fuck the healing I could do.
Having a healing spam bot is not a good thing, there is almost no counter play for it. Even getting a nomicon, her healing still out does a lot of DPS. It gets to the point that you need to blow huge spells on her to try and do anything to her at all.

As a support main who has played as/against, it NEEDS a nerf.

you're supposed to harass soraka. she is especially squishy.

And if she hits a decent Q which has a very low mana cost, and CD, she gets back any health you take away.

MegaManYYZ6 votes

if her Q is healing her for more than you can burst her down, that's incredibly sad.

Her healing is fine- she is suppose to be THE healer in the game. People just need to learn that Soraka is different than many supports, you have to focus her first early game.

Her kit is also no where close to being overloaded.

If she is supposed to be "the healer" why is her base damages so high with her Q? And Why does she have not only a slow which would be fine, but also has a damaging silence, AND a damaging root.

The same question can be asked with Blitz, Naut and Thresh. Why can they box adc's in the early game? Support's are supposed to do damage to make up for their poor scaling.

Overloaded lol you sure haven't seen any other kits

Youre suggesting nerfing the one thing that makes her a champion. Lol. The only things she can offer IS healing. Take that away and youre left with a pile of garbage that dies within 2 seconds.

Soraka is basically a ctrl+z function in your team. You might as well map W to ctrl+z

No.

From the contents of your post, Soraka is overtuned, not overloaded. Her passive has one simple mechanic, her Q is straightforward, her W has the most in her kit with passive, active, and unusual health cost, her E is simple and has counterplay, and her ult is pretty straightforward as well. One could argue that pre-rework Soraka was overloaded, and they streamlined her design with the rework.

Overloaded is Lee Sin or Ekko, it just means loaded with too much abilities/effects, granting the champion seemingly unfair versatility. Overtuned is when the champion is just too strong in a certain department, which you are describing.

Please don't confuse the two.

Her Q has a healing, damaging, and if hit in the center has a slow as well. Her W is a massive heal, and her E acts as an instant, damaging silence, that if you cant get away from, also turns into a root with additional damage. Not to mention having a global ulti. And her passives give her 70% move speed running to a champion under 40% hp. Which the speed is not stopped or slowed after casting spells, or taking damage. She is over-tuned, AND over loaded. Please don't assume I don't know what I'm talking about.

It has damage and a conditional slow, as a trade-off it's easier to dodge than some skillshots. As for the heal, that's her W passive. During laning, you can max W or Q. Maxing W will heal you more when you land Q, but less damage. Maxing Q will mean more damage, but less self-healing. If you're going to tell me "don't assume I don't know what I'm talking about," then please know what you're talking about. If you're going to talk about Q's healing, you need to apply that to her W because that's her kit's design.

and her E acts as an instant, damaging silence, that if you cant get away from, also turns into a root with additional damage.

The damage isn't that amazing, and you can walk out of it. It's relatively simple to avoid the root, and usually takes Soraka's team to chain cc in order to get the root in the first place. At least during the root, you can auto and cast spells, or move and autoattack during the silence. Her Equinox will never leave you unable to do anything, there is always some action you can take.

And her passives give her 70% move speed running to a champion under 40% hp.

Should she not have a passive it all? That's a pretty straightforward passive, that's conditional and not on demand.

Which the speed is not stopped or slowed after casting spells, or taking damage.

Coincidentally, many movement speed boosts in this game are not slowed or stopped after casting spells or taking damage. I believe Soraka will briefly stop when casting a spell like most champions, but I don't believe a lot of champions will slow down with MS boosts like this.

The only thing possibly overloaded about her is her W.

Her Q is hard to land in the center, deals relatively little damage unless you hit it in the center, and heals because her W costs 10% of her max health.

Her W costs 10% of her max health. Enough said.

Her E actually isn't instant. It has an obscenely long CD and you can easily get away from it.

Her Ult has a very long CD and does nothing outside of healing/clearing grievous wounds.

Her passive only works when her allies are low (not her) and only works when she is running toward them. While semi-effective at helping teammates, it is one of the least useful passives in the game when it comes to the benefits it provides to herself.

I don't doubt you know what you are talking about. But you are a complete and absolute troll for suggesting Soraka who is one of the least loaded supports has an overloaded kit.

A Q that most likely going to miss unless she's right up in your face and needs to hit in the center to slow, which is very hard because the skill shot can take anywhere up to .25-1.5 seconds to land depending on close she is to you. Her W is a massive heal that also kills her, I like how you conveniently left that out. A damaging silence that is easy to play around through the simple means of "Keep walking." Also has a .5 second delay before it actually appears so the person using this needs to predict really well. A global heal, nothing special aside from removing grievous wounds. MS bonus that only activates if she is running TO a wounded ally. This implies that she also puts herself in trouble because that ally is most likely low due to a or multiple enemies attacking them. Also, like any utility support, her bases are supposed to be high. That way she isn't reduced to heal bot. And even then, she basically is anyway because everything else she does barely scrapes the barrel for being useful. And even if she succeeds at being good at something else, well congratz for wanting to nerf a champion because the person playing them was good. Seriously, I never thought I'd see the day someone complained about Soraka of all champions.

I would prefer Soraka's old heal to come back
