SEVERE lag problems since latest patch (5.3) HELP

REPOSTING HERE SO MORE CAN SEE

I have had bad lag ever since the latest patch. It doesn't make sense why because my ping sits at 26-30 constantly, but I still get hard lag. Like so bad it freezes for a few seconds then unfreezes after all the action has happened with me not being able to see any of it. This happens constantly throughout the game, mainly starting at about the 4 minute mark.

My download rate is 32 mbps so I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with my internet; that and it also just started after the 5.3 patch.

Is anyone else having this problem, or is it really just me? This is making the game unplayable, so I would really like to know what's happening if anyone has any idea.

Did you check your FPS? A freeze and unfreeze sounds like FPS.

I have a constant 90 plus framerate. I think my gtx 760 and my fx 8320 can handle this game.

Okay, then don't use freeze and unfreeze it sounds more like FPS drops lol. I can't remember the correct term right now.. tired.. about to sleep... So then could be your ISP, could be something on your side might be blocking ports to Riot servers. You could have a Strict NAT type, you want this opened for gaming purposes. The link just explains and I think a guide at the end.

My girlfriend is having this same problem, while I continue to play normally in the same room. It probably isn't the ISP.

I didn't think it was considering it started happening right after the most recent patch.

If that is the case it could be how the computer is configured. Antivirus can block to certain address.

I remembered how my Antivirus fire wall loved to mess with me. Almost every patch I would have to allow Riot Servers to bypass my firewall.

I don't see how that would be an issue. This only just started after the most recent patch. Was this the "fuck you solels patch" or something?

Funny thing is, it randomly occurs for me. When Riot patches they change the ID for the game and because it a new ID my client doesn't know what it is and usually will block it. So I would have to tell it to allow the program. Also, if you are not checking to see if that is the case or not and just ranting say it CAN'T BE, please don't seek help then. It helps to know what is not the issue so we know more about what is going on and can narrow down. It called troubleshooting. You know, the thing when you do a series of task in hope to find the issue. Key phase, "do a series of task".

I am not ranting...why would you even go there? I just had no clue what was happening or how to resolve it if I were to be able to...way to bring up something that had nothing to do with what I was saying. It just seemed bizarre that right after this particular patch I couldn't play the game because of a bad intermittent lag. Seriously, while this may be annoying as hell, don't assume things. Just keep on topic.

By you saying "I don't think" or "I don't see" shows you lack the ability to troubleshoot and examine what I purpose. Also I never said you were ranting, I was just getting fed up with the lack of effort put forth to examine the issue at hand.

I don't see how a link talking about nat types for ps3 and xbox is supposed to help me figure out what my problem is. Thanks, you were a great help.

Would this have anything to do with the most recent patch? Because I didn't have any problems before.

Also, I used the words freeze and unfreeze because the lag spikes were so bad the game would essentially freeze for a second or two then unfreeze.

Your download wouldn't be the problem. It'd be your upload. Where at are you located? Seeing how you have around 30 ping i'm guessing you're on the west coast.
