Reasons as to why the worse champion in league needs a real buff.

So as well all know.

Ryze is the worse champion in league.

If we look at champions that are very similar to him. Such as TwistedFate

The W Q interaction is very much there. When comparing the stun/snare and the skill shot.

But the difference is, .25 seconds scaling up to 1.25 difference on base W. Now they tie out on E W for Ryze. But the key difference here is that one is a projectile. Which isn't too slow or too fast. The other is a point and click CC. But both are key for instakilling someone.

If Riot were to change Ryze's W to a targeted projectile. They should increase the base snare (Not a stun) to 1.5 seconds. Since now it has more counter-play. Then make the E W 2.5 seconds. Due to travel time we can expect the lose of about .25 seconds. This is not taking into account any other actions that will be factored in later.

Now the Q of Ryze is a skillshot that can be blocked by a minion, a champion, and other skills that block projectiles. (Looking at your braum and yasuo)
Twisted Fates is not blocked by Champions or Minions. But both are fine as they are currently.

Ryze's E is the star of his Kit. It is his damage, his mobility, his shield, his snare, and his life. Touching that now would be too much. Anything done to it now will completely make ryze unplayable or meta again.

Ryze's R. The cancer of his kit for Solo Queue. Needs to be nerfed so that in comp it is not as effective but still usable in solo is still pretty useless until higher elo.

But when you combine all of this. It will make up for the fact that Ryze should get more time on the snare.

Reasons why he should get more time on the snare.

  1. Enemies that are not melee can still do damage and cast abilities aside from movement ones.
  2. Because the skill now has a travel time it allow enemies to move and position themselves better to avoid the ryze combo or to get in range to do a combo back.
  3. Due to the fact that Ryze's Q is blockable and is his primary source of damage + the fact that early game his E on a higher cooldown of 3.25 down to 2.75 seconds will make it so that he can only do 1 combo as is, but now with more counter play.

I think Ryze's damage is alright right now. But when Riot introduces those anti-shield items into the game. They are most likely going to have to buff Ryze's shield. Since the anti-shield items are being made for champions that give others shields. So champions like Riven, Ryze, Diana, Camille, Kass, Tahm Kench, etc etc etc. The Solo Shield that are currently fine will be worse with those items out. So be prepared for those champions to get buffs to there shields.

Season 7 you have 52% win rate with 392 games played on Ryze. That doesnt sound like the worst champ in league.

Think about what you literally have just said.

400 games on Ryze with a 52% win rate. As a veteran Ryze player I am barely finding success on Ryze at a Mid - High plat level.

He is one of those champions that requires much more effort in playing and much more skill for little turn out.

Even RedMercy has said it at this point.

So what you're saying is you never play against a Mid main thats playing their main champion? Are they all autofilled first time champ players and you are just barely getting a 52% winrate against these chumps?

Link RedMercy statement please.

Ryze is really bad. Look at his number from a broad spectrum.

With a .74% play rate he has like a 45% win rate. A .74% is pretty much only the mains and people that want to play him for some ungodly reason.

Yea, I remember Ryze having a 45% winrate awhile back. Then Faker took Ryze and won worlds...
