Why all the Hate on Fizz?

. We all love him/hate him. Our favorite phish. But recently, I've seen people say to nerf him, and I'm not just saying like, -30 damage on his Q, I mean remove the damage on his E completely. I have just played 3 games as Fizz, and I was fed in every game. I was able to instantly kill somebody and then run off. But, I think the thing is, is that people don't know how to counter Fizz.

Fizz has very high mana costs. Just steal the enemy blue, and Fizz can't spam his E and Q. Certain champions counter him hard. Malzahar, I've found, is a good Fizz counter. In one of my games I was 0/2 in lane against a Malz(I got fed from kills in other lanes). So, all you need to do to defeat Fizz is counter him at champion selection. Pick Ryze, he's a great counter. There's so much that you can do to deal with him, yet people don't. In blind pick, I understand, and in draft, he usually gets banned, but if you are up against Fizz, don't do exactly the opposite of what you're supposed to do and then whine about it. Fizz's kit will never get changed, it's too iconic. It's like if Darius's ultimate was changed to "Pillow Toss".

To counter Fizz in lane, stay at a distance and poke him hard. He has no skillshots he can toss out at you like Zed Q or Urgot Q, so poking him should be easy. If you use hard crowd control that instantly applies, like Warwick, Malz, or Ryze, use it to focus him down. You need to coordinate with your team.

Next time you want to criticize the phish, just remember, when in doubt, eat a potato.
