@Riot, I love you guys and all...

...but sometimes your decisions disgust me.

No, I'm not even talking about Shen this time. I'm talking about Malzahar.

You guys reworked him, giving him specific strengths. You nerfed those strengths until they were non-existent, nerfed Malzahar more instead of just tuning him, and now he has so little agency over anything he can't even lane properly against most opponents.

What kind of bullshit is that? Do the Malzahar mains a favor and give him some love in the form of targeted buffs, or just pull the failsafe and revert the rework that started this crap to begin with, like you did with Kog'maw.

It's unfair to alienate an entire part of the playerbase over the LCS.

But don't take this as an insult. If I didn't think you guys didn't listen or answer I wouldn't bother posting at all. Throw us a bone here.

Sincerely, Someone who casually enjoyed playing Malzahar

Kog didn't even get fully reverted (he kept his rework's execution-tuned ult and his W was given back a mana cost despite it being removed for a time before his rework initially), so I wonder what it'd look like if they "reverted" Malz.

I don't really care what they do, but anything is better than the state he's in right now.

That's debatable. If Riot fully reverts Malz, we have old Malz, with the new problems of a changed game, and the old problems Malz had. If Riot some-what reverts Malz, we get Malz with some of Old Malz's problems, and some new ones. If Riot pushes him in another direction, we end up with salty Malz mains, a better or worse Malz, and more problems.

As long as he's playable and not overpowered.

Which won't happen due to how he is played. If you make him work for Mid, he could be unplayable for Jungle, and overpowered for Support. If there was a way to balance him, I'm sure Riot would have done it by now. I see no realistic way to satisfy the varying facets of the Malzahar community, as well as keep the champion fair and balanced.

Everyone likes to think that balancing champions is relatively simple and Riot is run by idiots who can't see it.

Some actually believe this, some are lying to themselves to keep them from realizing that what they like has severe problems that prove to be too difficult to balance around.

Some people can't even see the potential unhealthy aspects of certain champions that got reworked. Heaven forbid you tell them that what they liked most about someone was the unhealthy aspect that couldn't fit in this game.

I don't like Malz post and pre-rework. But I'd take his post rework over his old pool ult combo that basically told you to stop playing league.

Well whatever it is, I hope they understand these important details:

Most Malzahar main's like having voidlings, they just don't like the current mechanic. The old Hitpoint voidlings with frenzy were much better. We would like to have the Void Pool back with our W. Maybe this can be achieved by combing the pool with 1 voidling spawn... or a 2 click method, 1st click = voidling, second click (withiin the right time) brings the Pool.

The main reason for having hitpoint voidlings is so that he is viable in the jungle again, and it also helps that he can jungle the dragon. I don't understand why its OK for a Mordekaiser to be allowed to Solo Drag... and destroy turrets, even solo baron after getting the drag, but Malzahar should not be able to as a jungle? Makes no sense.

So, a good number of us Malzahar Mains, want to be able to Jungle.

Another issue Malzahar faces is that his ULT is so easily ruined. Practically EVERY Champ has CC now, and add to that QSS and Edge of Night, and the fact that Riot is giving new champs spell block as part of their kit really hurts Malzahar. Malzahar does not need a guaranteed ult, but perhaps only the CC part of it should be ruined... the damage should still take effect... LIKE IT USED TO BE. Now, when someone CC's Malz or uses QSS the whole ultimate is destroyed. Yea, QSS even negates most of the damage from the ult. That is new bug mechanic, and needs to be fixed.

His lack of mobility and the fact that he has no CC in QWE makes him overly vulnerable. His Shield USED to be good enough to help him there. But they nerfed it, then nerfed it again, and again... So, please return more of shield CC protection, and give him back his mobility.

Lastly, almost every other champ in midlane outscales him. So, it would be nice if his late game was improved. Perhaps give him additional bonus penetration for each kill he gets. That would allow him to scale at least.

Revert his kit, but make his passive function on a cooldown rather than number of spellcasts, like how they changed Maokai's passive in the tank update, with a condition to lower the cooldown that gives Malzahar incentive to be more interactive with his lane than just "throw Q and E every time they're off cooldown, and sometimes W".

I had a concept for a Malzahar revert/un-rework-thing that I posted like 2 months ago.
