You boast about being the most played game in the world. If that were the case, we should be able to block at least up to 10 people so we never get them again on our team. I hate dealing with the same negative, toxic players 2-3 games in a row and not being able to do anything.
Oh, and those saying "Wait a few minutes" etc etc, theres been times where I wait 20-30 minutes and still get the same people.
problem is
blocking people doesnt just affect you
you blocking someone may cause up to 8 other people having to wait longer for a game just because you don't want to play with someone
And besides what if that guy is premade with another? Are both of them blocked from playing with you? Or are you put in a lower Queue because of you block?
What if a friend invites you to a team then he invites that guy? Is he forbidden to invite him? Are you expelled from the lobby?
It's not as easy as "Herp derp I have the right to block people so riot should do what I say cuz I know best"
If you don't want to play with them so badly then dodge
It's truly mind-boggling that they don't implement this, at least for the vast majority. By that I mean it wouldn't work at very high Elo since there are too few players, then again maybe it should even be implemented there since there are those who troll all the time the time like Fabbbyyy and somehow haven't been banned after years.
His trolling pattern can be predicted like clockwork, and everyone in high Elo just deals with it. If he could be blocked he could never get a game started, as he deserves, aside from a permanent ban.

I just think there should be an option to "Hide" another player which would change their name to something random (For you only) and automatically mute them in game.
Edit: It should also block them from messaging you or adding you.

Does no one else understand how this kind of system would also heavily skew ranked? What if you are the top player, and you just block every single person in challenger?
Not only to mention the more people block the harder the system has to work to match players.
This is due to higher elos where the player pool is smaller. There you go. move along.
It's also very problematic for the very high elo people where they already have long queues because a very low amount of players are that high ranked : this could pretty much make the 10 min queues they have into several hours/days queue. And that's not thinkable.
That would mean that in higher elo, you could block out the good players so that you don't have to play against them.
If that were the case
What the hell is that suppose to mean? It IS the most played game right now?
Won't happen because of reasons already mentioned, but if you played a game and there were people that you don't want to queue up with, just wait 2 minutes before joining the queue again and it's likely you won't get matched up with him again.
