I have a final, great idea Riot could easily implement to see if people want Dynamic Que or Not

You use the League Client to ask everyone to take a short survey, and ask if they think Ranked Dynamic Que is healthy and fun. Whoever participates gets some RP (small amount, about 500-975). Then show us the results and take action on them. The normal surveys take a lot of time and many players probably don't do them.

Although Riot already has an enormous amount of data on Dynamic Que, I think that many of the samples were taken early on towards the start of this season. The small RP package should be a good incentive to get everyone to do the survey. Heck, it could be a Hextech Chest for all I care. There just needs to be a new data set to justify the existence of Dynamic Que. I frankly do not hate it but if there is so many posts about it on the boards and so many Pro Players speaking out about it, there should be some new statistics taken to support how it improves games for players.

It would also be cool to see which regions like Dynamic Que the most and which regions like it the least, as well as the level and ELO of the players who like/hate Dynamic Que. Then Riot can come to conclusion that fits the communitiy's majority opinion well.

The survey doesn't have to be long, maybe only 5-10 questions on the topic, with questions like 'How did your experience in LoL change after implementation of Dynamic Que?' and ' Do you think Premades have an advantage over solo players? Select from 1-10, 1 being no advantage/disadvantage and 10 being they are LITERALLY DOING A PRO LEVEL LANE SWAP IN BRONZE IV WHAT THE F*CK?'

Still just my opinion, and this post will probably be removed by Riotencent.

The problem isn't solely dynamic queue, it is the fact that solo queue into dynamic queue is awful.

What role is always needed "support"

Why is the support role in such high demand? Because everyone knows there is no team in teamwork. (unless you are fully premade)

I think that instead of Assassins getting that end of the year update, it should be Supports. I mean, I play another MOBA for IOS called Vainglory, and in it, the league equivalent of the Support (Roamer) can actually earn gold and possibly hard carry. The problem with making support items actually good is that when they are too good they get used by other roles like with Frost Queen's Claim.

The problem with making support ....

Able to carry is that it feels bad for the enemy team. Supports are the anti-playmakers.

Rito ~ "We don't like anti-playmakers"

What happens every time a support starts seeing the light of day. They get nerfed. What happens every time a new champ makes their way to a support role? They get nerfed.

I actually think riot hates supports and tanks as much as assassins do.

They should do it. People would stop whining for SoloQ because they would see who the actual minority is.

Toastersaot1 votes

I'm not sure who the actual minority is, but if we got the data from Riotencent we will get an idea of who actual likes/hates Dynamic Que.

The Bíg Ticket3 votes

Dude they already asked us and we all wanted their awesome system. Lyte has all the data he needs rofl.

Toastersaot2 votes

Yeah, but after what is essentially half a season of Dynamic Que, people's opinions should change, right?

The Bíg Ticket3 votes

People cant detect sarcasm on the internet anymore if you don't write a kappa at the end of your sentence.

Toastersaot2 votes

Yeah, but your sarcasm has a point. Riotencent thinks it does have all the data that they need, when in reality people's opinions change over time.

The Bíg Ticket2 votes

Of course they think that, they are as ignorant as it gets in that regard. (In others too).

You're also missing that in the original survey, they didn't distinguish the new draft pick from Dynamic Queue. Because the "pick two roles" system is pretty good, and there wasn't a distinguished "that's not dynamic, premades are," many people voted that they enjoyed it even though they really hated dynamic queue.

My biggest worry with such a system is how Smurfs would affect it.

It's no secret that high level players don't like Dynamic Queue for a variety of reasons. It's also no secret that most high level players have many accounts. Is it fair for one guy to have several times the voting ability as another, simply because he has more accounts?

From what I've seen, the only thing premades are useful for in Bronze or Silver is guaranteeing there are fewer idiots on your own team. There seems to be more games decided by a single smurf than there are premade teams at that level. It's worth pointing out to those that complaint about "Dynamic Boosting" that it wouldn't be possible without smurfs either.

Toastersaot1 votes

My idea with that is since the demographic of Challenger Level players is small enough to the point of being negligible.

Besides, when Riot first got the statistics on why Dynamic Que was needed, the higher level players probably voted in those surveys as well.

In Bronze and Silver, not having an idiot on your team is about as good as it gets besides a smurf.

Still imagine if you had one Challenger level player get on a smurf and help boost the other people in a four man premade from Bronze to High Gold or Low Plat. That's still very unfair and can still show the flaw of the system. Then at actual Master/Challenger level play you can see actual LCS Teams when you are solo.

Still imagine if you had one Challenger level player get on a smurf and help boost the other people in a four man premade from Bronze to High Gold or Low Plat.

Lets be honest, in Bronze and Silver it doesn't matter if it's a Challenger player or a Plat player doing the boosting. The skill difference is so high it's indistinguishable.

The problem in that example is, has been, and always will be that the person doing the boosting needs to create a smurf account. You're not worried about 4-5 Bronze players with their powers combined getting to High Gold or Low Plat, you're worried about a Smurf playing with Bronze players. Even if that Smurf was playing solo he'd be ruining games at low elo.

Smurfing Players and Boosted Players are two sides of the same coin. You can't have Boosted Players without someone Smurfing, and both ruin games in their respective ranks.

Toastersaot1 votes

Still, I think that both create an unfun environment for ranked, and I personally believe both are wrong. It's just with a stronger player, it becomes even more unfun for the enemy.

The Deckowner1 votes

but high level players are the minority of the playerbase, bronze and low silver consist of more than 50% of the entire playerbase, even if high elo players have multiple smurfs it wont matter too much.

remember what rito did to their last survey?

one of the question is: "do u like to play league with friends?" ofc majority of the people said yes.

another is:"do you like to play in a competetive enviornment?" same as above

and rito's result from the survery is"majority of the playerbase enjoy playing eith friends in a competitive ranked enviornment. therefore majority of the community like dynamic queue."

u know survey is usually just vague questions that can give whatever answer you want it to give u, as long as u use the tricky wordings.

Toastersaot2 votes

I'm aware. It's too bad man.

SeekerofSilence1 votes

Suggested this a while ago, didn't get a lot of response...

I'm all for this though. Something people can't evade. And they HAVE to explain that champ select =/= DynQ. The RP prize is not necessary though.

Toastersaot1 votes

I think it is, because it would give an incentive to actually do the survey.

SeekerofSilence1 votes

How about this: the survey is mandatory.

No playing the game before you answer to it. It's not needed to have a prize for doing it, seems like a cheap way of asking for a free skin the way you worded it.

Toastersaot1 votes

That would be a great idea too! Being mandatory would be a bit of a pain but it would still provide a good data set for Riot to work with.

Good idea but without the solo players dynamic Q will die because of the long queue times and lack of interest to play.

Everyone and their mother will compare themselves with other with their solo MMR (which I believe will be what Riot finally will implement and not solo Q) so many will tryhard in solo Q and just abandon dynamic Q.

"Hey I though we were friends and you wanted to play with me."

"Fuck that! I need to ge me a real rank first. "

Toastersaot1 votes

Thank goodness. If they do that, it's basically a sign that they screwed up in that aspect of the game. By the way does Riotencent sound like a good name for the company who made this system?

idgaf about 'solo mmr' if i have to still play against premades. I simply won't play, period. and once people finally accept that the fun of soloq is over, the game became "get friends that play league, at the same times you do, and thata lways have room for you or don't play at all or expect to have any fun if you still do play" there will be a slowly rising amount of players who leave for other games until it becomes a mass exodus. and you and your friends will wind up having those slow queues anyways, waiting longer for poor solo players so that you can smash their faces in and convince yourselves your coordinated skype plays (without having to interrupt your gameplay through typing) mean you are totally better than the group of perfect strangers you just met up against who have to type to each other (not being able to use skills/make plays at the same time) and have no idea how one another goes about things. only voice chat would make it any better for solo players, anything less/else is a not going to help and we may as well play something else. I played a game, that died quickly and was neglected byt he devs but had voice chat, and the lvl 1 gank squad 5 man premades could sometimes be beaten by as few as two people in different lanes with mic as long as the other 3 players were paying attention and we were keeping people up to date on locations and making strategies to deal witht he premades we recognized and whos tactics we had seen repeatedly. without voice chat, that would have been a major pita to deal with and I would honestly have left the game no matter how much I enjoyed it otherwise. so i Know voice chat will Help league, and it will eventually lead to fair matches regardless of premades once people grow accustomed to using the voicechat and learning to play together with strangers through it. it is the only thing that will help solo players compete with premades, besides scripting lol. toxicity is simply dealt with through muting a player's voicechat and making that an obvious function. the same as muting txoic players in chat and how obvious that is.

This is a good idea, Riot should also add surveys that ask about certain balancing issues.

Sorry I don't understand what you mean sorry.

You stated that there are other, normal surveys people can do. Where can I find those?

Toastersaot1 votes

It's usually in the League Client where Riotencent gives you this boring survey about being a part of the League Community and if you like spending RP. Not much about things like game health and balance (looking at you EkkoEkko ).

It's called 'Help Us Improve'. I think it comes out at the start of every patch.

for the one i did rito send me an email linked to it.
