He's actually only has a 18.9% pick rate rn, so a 4% higher than janna and riven and much lower than thresh, jhin, ezreal, twitch, vayne lee sin, and caitlyn. He's actually slightly more popular than vi and jinx, like within a percent or two. Honestly i hate the other picks a lot more currently, in tank yasuo meta in July with a 30% pick rate(what cait and lee sin have currently) he was cancer for sure, unbearably. Now not so much.

if you actually read what they said, they said "picked or banned", worldwide, yasuo has a 20% pickrate with a 57% banrate. 20 + 57 = 77.

they are actually underselling it

yasuo actually has a 41.26% ban rate, and adding pick rate and ban rate is an awful way of determining the popularity of a champion, the only 2 champs who have had a greater than 50% ban rate in the past 4 months are Rengar and the new champs like camille right now with 67%. Also if you average yasuo's pick rate in euw, eue, na, kr, and japan it's 17.63% (I researched this much more than i should have, my numbers are on point) pick rate in the 5 most popular regions. So even if you used the (in my opinion) horrible logic of adding pick and ban rates to determine popularity he'd only be at 58.83% percent. Using this same logic adding pick and ban Vayne would be in 64.79% of games, and lee sin would be 50.95% and rengar would be 62.34% even though he only has a 7% pick rate with a 55.34% ban rate. So i'm just saiyan, but that's an awful way of calculating things, i don't see rengar in 61% of games, even if i see him banned very often.

Presence is a measure of how contested a pick is, and how important they are to the current meta. It isn't a direct measure of popularity, but influence as a result of their popularity.

And he has a global ban rate of 57%.

In Daimond+, Yasuo has a presence of 35.4%, ranked 12 (between Vayne as 11 at 36.5%, and Thresh as 13 at 34.7%) Out of 134 champions, that puts him in the top 9th percentile.

A. Hope that yasuo sucks and makes the mistakes shown in the video. B. Camp his ass and thus make your jungler abandon the rest of your team. C. Roam with an uncertain reward while yasuo gets certain farm freely.

While I do know that this dude probably knows more about the game than I do since he is diamond, I love how at least half of his tips are "wait for Yasuo to make a mistake" or "unless his team sets him up" that is the problem right there. You literally cant do anyting, cant make any kind of play vs him or in some cases his entire team unless he fucks up first. That is not a good fucking design. And pls I am not saying he is op, most of us complain about him being unfun and bad for overall gameplay, so for gods sake just admit that this champion has a terrible design and rework him asap, it will make everyone happy except for his mains, but they deserve to burn in hell with Lee, Vayne and Riven mains anyway amirite :D

There was a post talking about how to deal yasuo a few hours ago. I clicked suprised to see he had 7 upvotes. I congratulated him and said enjoy the upvotes till you got downvote bombed. Needless to say I check the same post a few hours later and he had two upvotes. Meanwhile all the comments bashing the op were farming upvotes.

The first time I went on the gameplay section I thought I would find advice about how to get better at the game. Boy was I wrong!

I mean, i like the jokes, but it all boils down to.

A. Camp his ass B. Lane against a bad yasuo who fucks up. C. Roam while hoping to help your team while yasuo farms and blows you out of the water if you were not succesfull.

Furthermore he uses "winrate" as a solo statistic saying that yasuo has no problems, when we know that there are far more variables than that, that need to be considered.

I will agree that yasuo is not "op", but he is still toxic and unfair. All of these things is not as much counterplay as praying that you will be succesfull.

The champion doesn't have a means of escape, unless he sets it up properly. Good Yasuo players should be rewarded. The champion is forced to all-in. Complaining about him is literally the same as complaining about pre rework Katarina, Talon, and Fiora.

The champion is forced to all in all the time, and needs to go in for short trades with his shield up and an escape route planned. The champion is very difficult to play. I don't see a difference between him and the examples I listed above.

His CC is dodgeable. A good player should be able to avoid his tornado from a distance. He has to risk his life to go in to guarantee a knockup. Yasuo does not get many bans in diamond 2+, master, or challenger from what I've seen. Only in lower MMR does he see a lot of bans Platinum and low Diamond. There are much more frustrating champions in NA solo queue in high elo Hecarim Olaf TwistedFate Graves Gangplank Syndra that, in my opinion, have more potential to carry games better and easier.

Summary for those who couldn't bother to watch the whole thing:

Yasuo is squishy.
Deny him resources.
Don't let the jungler help him. Take the other jungler out of the equation.
Don't force him into tower. Let him shove you in.
Get him jungle ganked early.
Team focus fed Yasuo's.
Wait til level 6 if you are a mage at mid.
Auto-attack before the main attacks.

Missing information: If you can tell that you are opposite the Yasuo, then make sure that your mage is ready to deal with the damage in those early stages. Pick your runes and masteries wisely.

Lissandra who sadly does not see much play Malzahar this one should be self explanatory none of his stuff is projectiles and his ult should be used when he all ins you at tower. Darius Garen Camille Aatrox Tryndamere are all great toplaners against him as well

The problem is that one of the solutions proposed to this champ is literally "Yasuo players are stupid." They are definitely toxic but non stupid yasuo players are cancer to play against. They wait until they know the JG and other lanes position then all in and kill you.

Yasuo can't 100 to 0 in one combo pre IE... Zed, Talon and Kha are actually way more deadlier than him early.

His proposed solutions literally only work against bad players.

"Don't push him in" Well if I dont push him in he roams and kills my team. "Play by your tower" <YOUR JUNGLER HAS BEEN SLAIN!> "Bait his wind wall" Wind wall starts inside his model he can save it until you fire your ranged ability. "Abuse his lack of ultimate" You mean go close so he can all in you because he took exhaust which is superior to an ult early?

All his proposed solutions boil down to "Yasuo makes people play poorly" when really you're just playing against bad people.

Which is the wrong way to play vs him anyways since you have to manage the wave against him in order to trade/beat him, also he's the most gankable champion, provided that you don't give him free dashes.
