Lux was buffed for no reason and is way too safe and great utility and dmg.
Title. Nerf her. Xerath seems a bit so too. These champs with insane range are too safe and they all have great cc and dmg.

glad to see others share my opinion that Lux is in no way OP.
Lux, like any other super ranged mage feels oppressive if you cannot get onto her. but there are plenty of ways to get onto her even without counter picks. Her lane phase is pretty good, but unless she lands that binding on you at least once or twice (usually twice unless shes got decently ahead), she won't kill you. she can chunk you good, but in the process will go OOM very fast and lose her lane pressure. she can get blue buff and then she's hard to deal with, but so are most mages with blue buff.
I main Lux and her main weakness is not only ganks, but people who know to zone her out when she misses her Q. If I miss my binding you should immediately step forward if you are an all in champ like annie, leblanc, zed, talon, etc. and threaten me. that Q has a long cooldown early. I believe 11 seconds or so, and if i miss my Q you are going to make me miss a fair amount of CS and maybe even EXP. sure I can harass you with E and maybe get a creep or two with it at the same time while being zoned out, but that E mana cost is pretty insane. I will go OOM very very fast if I have to use that to last hit. Ideally a Lux only wants to use E to harass. and not to last hit.
as for Lux's CC being "great". are you serious? it is one of the slowest moving projectiles in the game and is only a snare. A SNARE. it is not a stun. I can't tell you how many times people have just used bullshit while snared to get out of my combo like Fiora riposte, spellshields, etc. Its useful and the double snare when being chased is amazing, but that is what Lux is good at. Kiting. If you are chasing her and not prepared to dodge her shit and you can't dodge the slow moving skillshots than thats on you.
and don't get me started on her nearly impossible to land ultimate. If her target is not CC'd and is paying attention AT ALL, they will simply side step the ultimate every time. its not even hard to. even the worst players can side step it. it has a huge channel time. I've learned for the most part that it is either a zoning ultimate to force a fleeing enemy to run back into your team (or die to your ult), or only to be used when the enemy is CC'd. Sometimes you get that lucky ult where people bunch up in a team fight and are not paying attention to you, but generally speaking people just move out of the way.
Lux is fine, now that Lux is finally viable due to mana costs and QOL buffs to her W, people want her nerfed? get out of here and learn to dodge her skill shots rather than just blindly run at me as Leblanc please.
Lol all in champs cant all in lux cause her range on bind is like 2 dashes worth.
and even then you just shield it off...i know why i used her to counterpick Fizz in midlane back when he had been strong and she hadn´t even been buffed Oo she should have been nerfed long ago, but well...if the popular opinion doesn´t reflect it we can at least hope her playerbase will remain relativly small.
this is actually false, and anyway a max range binding should never hit you unless yr bad or lagging.

Glad to see other Lux mains shilling for her not being broken so I can keep climbing like the elo-hungry bronzie I am, she needs more buffs and so does every other no-risk all-reward champion, I also play Fizz because I am literal human trash.
pls die in a fire kthx

Lux beats all four of those champions.
People who think Lux is only "finally viable" are delusional.
http://champion.gg/champion/Lux
She has a high play rate as well as an extremely high win rate. Lux players who are literally just trying her out have a win rate of over 55 fucking percent. The only two champions with a higher win rate mid lane, Kayle and Vel'koz, have a fraction of her playerbase.
She was overbuffed when she was perfectly viable.
I think you should check if this is lux mid or lux support. because the only thing i tihnk may have been overlooked is her crazy synergy as support with ardent censor.
ahri can be strong against her, mainly because of her waveclear. lux has poor waveclear and forcing her to lose miniosn to turret is a fine counter to her. brand however doesnt perform well against lux...and idk why you think he would. Her sheild basically can coutner his burn, her range is more than his, and in teamfights she can be far from any aoe nonsense. leblanc has decent chances to kill her, but its risky. if lux hits the q during some distortion then leblanc may easily wind up dead. veigar also would probably struggle vs lux. good coutners for lux are champs with good waveclear, or champs with natural tankiness or sustain because lux jsut cant produce all that much damage.
"Wow, Lux is finally viable and doesn't destroy her mana in 5 seconds, let's nerf her again!"
Look, Lux is fine where she is. Just pick an assassin and shrek her in necessary.
Finally viavle?? Her winrate was 52% before her buffs.
Yes, she had a 52% winrate. Winrate is not everything. She was strong while having obvious weaknesses and strengths, leave the poor girl alone.

i hate when people use win rate to determine if someone is viable or not. by your logic Azir is one of the weakest champions in the game with 40-45%ish win rate when in reality he outright one of the most dominant champs when played right.
against quality opponents, lux before QOL buffs to W and E (not the Q double snare/same damage, that can go back if needed), it was really hard to outplay your opponent. Lux has always been strong. but laning against a Leblanc before was rough as you couldnt get the shield off in time unless you guessed when you needed to use it. this applied to any time you had to use your shield. the slight delay made it a guess not reactionary. which is terrible. The E pre detonate is great too as it actually goes off where you throw it.

There are a lot of factors. There is overall win rate that you can mix with win rate per games played. Generally a champion that has "one trick poney" players. A player that has over 100 games with the champion, mastered it. These players can show you if the champion is viable having 50~52% win rate with it, above it it tells that something is warped. See azir with a 125+ games 54% winrate.
When you see a champion that had a 2%~5% pick rate that, after a buff turned into a 14%, 17%, with an overall win rate above 50%, something is really wrong with the champion, meaning unskilled player that never picked the champion can easly use its brute force to prevail over other champions. That is lux now. What people call - freelo train.
Happened with kayle jungle, happened with top/sup sion before E nerfs. Lux is overbuffed.
they have great range and utility at the expense of their mobility. play lux into an assassin like talon and tell me she is too safe
Tell me more about how Lux is currently dictating the meta game.
owaité
She is so safe that Mejai's is an item you can and should build on her practically every game. She needs toning down.

Still not seeing the competitive pick and ban rate to support that claim that she is too strong.
If she's overpowering you, consider learning how to dodge.

My ability to dodge is irrelevant. Meddler said they were looking at her and that she seems too strong two days ago.
Every lux i see builds mejais.
I hate building Mejais. >_< it never works for me.
I have to agree that her damage is too high for the amount of utility she has.
Xerath, really?
lux does not have great dmg actually try playing her. Lux has always been one of my main picks and its not as easy as it may look to stay safe with ehr while still being useful. Seriously everyone who whines about opness of champs should jsut try playing them and try to figure out if its the champ, or jsut their enemy outplayed them.
Shes insanely broken
