Is Quinn's E vs Illaoi's Q bugged?

I'm not sure if this was Riot's original intention. But whenever Illaoi uses her Q and Quinn hits her with her tackle, it completely turns the move around so that it hits on the opposite side. Since there aren't many moves that has that much of a starting time as Illaoi's Q, is it possible that this is a bug? Or perhaps an unintended interaction?

Ether way, it makes the match up completely unwinnable, since Illaoi's major fighting tool and her harass is normally her Q. If this WAS the original intention for the matchup, is there any advice that someone can give? Cause so far I've lost a ton of laning phases (and games) simply because Quinn just stomps me as Illaoi. Ether by making my Q completely miss, or jsut harassing me with her auto attacks and her Q.

quinn's vault is suppose to completely negative illaoi's q but making illaoi completely the ability around hitting behind her is unusual. probably an unintended interaction. i've never heard of an ability changing courses after it's queue. Quinn vs Illaoi. I dont play illaoi but i would say it's completely possible. Initiate with w, wait for quinn to vault. once she does, q and continue to hurt her. if she holds vault then just keep w'ing. you can probably outtrade her even without q

If that's the case, should I max W or Q vs her?

Quinns E is a small knock back when it hits, you could try this out with maokai and syndra to see if it does the same thing

This is a known bug. Well, not sure about on Illaoi in particular, but for other champions.

The reason I'm wondering why it's a bug, is because nothing else effects Illaoi's Q like that. Being knocked away doesn't affect the position of the Q at all, Janna ult, Ziggs's knockback, the only move that just makes it completely miss, is Quinn's vault.
