Why does everyone hate Zed even thought he is one of the most counterable champions in the game?

Well problem with Zed is (besides the fact that he forces counter-Builds) his laning:

Its obnoxious. He outranges a Xerath, has a build in last hit tool, has effective waveclear, while being AD and Energy (<- Terrible combination - always)

Playing against a brained Zed (not these ololol Zed OP, need to abuse guys) is antifun - you either beat him, which means he will hug his tower while still getting every CS without risking anything (we're still talking about an Assassin) or you loose against him and he zones you permanently.

The only way to destroy a Zed is playing something like LB - Every other Champ in this whole Game just lacks the mechanical tools to kill Zed when he did no huge mistake earlier. While Zed himselfe can use even a tiny position error to get an easy kill.

Zed just laughs about any Risk and Reward relations - he is a Save Assassin and thats why I hate this guy.

Because it's nearly impossible to punish him even if his player is a moron. Same problem with Le Blanc and Lee Sin.

He's an AD Assassin with Mage like qualities, of course no one is going to like that. If he was -just- an AD Assassin, there would be no problems. He has the qaulities of an assassin with none of the drawbacks while having some of the qualities of a mage with none if their drawbacks. The other Assassins usually die if they fail to kill their target, or even still die when they do where as Zed doesn't. As for his mage like qualities that I am referring to, it's a safe laning and safe wave clear, but he doesn't use mana like mages do so he can do that indefinitely, and being under tower also isn't an issue for him like it is for mages since he's AD+passive and uses no mana.

He is only countered by items,takes no skill to play in lane,FORCING you to build certain unpleasant items and stats.

because his infinite sustain, safety and ability to control lane is extremely annoying. i wouldnt say hes super strong, but he is simply boring and annoying to play against. tho i wouldnt make a thread complaining about him.

Same reason I hate LeBlanc: You shouldnt have an engage that is at the same time an escape, that you can use to escape AFTER you used it to engage on the same Cooldown! Akali might be a Pain in the Ass, but at least when she goes in, its all out, not "Watch me nuke your Squishy and then I am behind my team again!"

I mean, we don't like Riven, Lee Sin, and Thresh either, though they all have "counterplay".

Because Zed is too fucking safe for an assassin and he always has been and it's never been addressed.

Because his passive should not work vs. minions. Because his laning is obnoxiously safe. Because there is no shutting down a Zed. Because he has no-long-term cost to his poke.

In short, because his laning phase is utterly obnoxious. His assassination pattern itself is fine.
