People confuse "Being bad at League" with "Being strategic" so much these days

It's like 1 part funny, 6 parts sad, and 3 parts ironic.

"The game had so much variety before" pretty much translates to either "The game had some insanely broken shit like Cleaver stacking or Bami stacking or dodge stacking" or "We weren't good enough at League to punish people for doing stupid shit in League", cause it definitely ain't any ACTUAL desire to have the game center around strategic decision making.

Cleaver stacking only lasted a single preseason, bami stacking was never a thing - I think you are referring to sunfire cape stacking on invisible champions which was a legitimate strat that added to the diversity (broken or not), dodge stacking was only a thing on a couple champions and even then it was considered troll because you'd get 1 shot by any mage and your dps would be reduced.

It's cool to cherry pick tho, or hyperbole metas and niches that existed back in the day "OMG AP YI WOULD 1v9 EVERY GAME" etc
