Mana hungry AD casters are in real trouble with the loss of mana pots
Let me preface this by saying that i'm a wukong player so i am partial to him but this applies to more champs than just wukong.
Mana hungry AD casters got shafted pretty hard with the changes to mana pots. It has gotten to the point where i cannot even play wukong in a lane anymore. don't get me wrong wukong is a fantastic champs who is pretty balanced at the moment in the jungle but he has no decent options for mana sustain in lane.
AD casters have the option of
both of which are plain bad options for wukong and corruption potion gives wukong a total of 150 mana over 36 seconds which is just... not enough. His full combo at lvl 6 costs around 250 mana which is well over half of his total mana. If you play wukong in lane you will notice 2 things.
First, you are being outcast by your opponent AND Second, you are always low on mana
Wukong is a hit and run fighter who never gets the option to ambush people because he has no build options for mana regen and therefore no ways to negate that weakness. I almost always do well with wukong in the jungle and almost never do well with him in lane.
Wukong and other champs like wukong need either mana cost reductions or an option for mana regen. They have really cumbersome costs with no way to negate them unlike mages. Balance team please fix. There is no reason why we should have champs with equally powerful abilities spamming them left and right with little or no cost while other champs have to spend well over half their mana pool on a full combo_
provides more than
. I've never been desperate enough to prove its value in a match though. as far as the value of corrupting potion itself, I find that it provides a very nice damage boost. AD casters certainly need to be careful, but you should remember that you are getting a great deal for your sacrifices.
I play
a fair amount, and just buying mana (
core items, rest is totally versatile, he can build full AD or hybrid tank.
and i crush any ap mid laner. with 9 ad, and 20 MR runes.
