Why doesn't tower attack an ulting Yasuo?

I feel like this could be a REASONABLE nerf to yasuo. Numerous times have I had a yasuo land a tornado on me whilst im under tower, then murder my healthbar WHILST IM STILL KNOCKED UP, Kill me, then E to a minion.

He should at least get some sort of a risk by tower diving. or at least get me a chance to counter play it. But no. You have to watch him slice you from all sides whilst you're in the air, before letting you down and taking 90% of your health bar, igniting and running away with what ugly ass smile on his face.

When I try to tower dive a yasuo? lol, thats a different story.

because yasuo ult tries its hardest to avoid turrets when he ults but if he is even 1 frame to close to the fountain it just throws him into it

cuz his ult makes him untargetable

lol so you cant cc him but he can knock you up through minions, ult you... reduce your armor while he does and you cant do shit about it all while getting a shield, a windwall , a dash and free crit

Maybe quick but untargetable? It only lasts a second so I understand that within that window, trying to hit him may be hard but ulting he should still be targetable.

No it does not make you untargetable. It's just that people never think to actually kill him, and instead spend their time watching the flashy animation

Technically he never attacked you while in the turret so you're arguing with the games code itself here. I'll explain this.

T = Tower

Y = You

C = Yasuo

O = Tornado

( = tower range

C ( Y T ) C ( OY T) (CY T) (yasuo is in ult, tower is not attacking since he was not in tower range when tornado hit

I understood everything that was stated here. Question, when Yasuo is ulting someone within tower range, why doesn't the tower attack him then.

(CY T) part. C is in ( T) when he is ulting Y afterall. The O I get, it is the ult part.

The only reason why the tower doesn't attack him then is because his CC does no damage (there's almost no CC in the game that does no damage) and one of the tower's rule is "attack anyone damaging an ally champion in your range" and since technically Yasuo isn't "hurting" the target (not dealing damage to them while ulting) he get's a free pass. One way you can fix this is make it so his ult makes visual sense as he strikes the target 3 times, Each strike dealing 1/3 of the ult damage.

You mean the damage is dealt when Yasuo finshes ulting but during the ult, it is just extended cc so the tower does not attack Yasuo? Say Nasus' Wither? If Nasus' W someone while he is under tower, he does not get targeted because it is dealing damage, so the same applies for Yasuo in that regards?

Makes sense. I had paid attention to the fact damage came after I landed but when I am being ulted, you spend more time thinking of a game plan over the damage. Thank you.

I ulted as Janna and did no damage, but got killed by the turret when my team had a dive.

I can explain that. Yasuo's CC on his ult is a "suspension" so if he hit the knockup out of tower range his ult is technically just extending the CC and not actually CCing the target so it's basically a free pass "extended knockup" that does not count as actually CCing someone. Pretty strong
