Kindred loves AS and Armor Pen

Kindred item 3933 vs item 3714

It seems like Kindred really loves attack speed and armor penetration. Her passive is basically another BotRK. As such, there appear to be two build paths for her:

  1. Sated with lots of on-hit stuff
  2. Warrior with lots of armor reduction stuff and CDR

Which do you think is best? I could see an armor pen/cdr build doing much better for tank shredding, but you would be somewhat dependent on your team to finish off targets since so much of Kindred's damage is current hp instead of max. The sated builds would be easier to tank but probably kill squishes more efficiently. Both will obviously share some similarities, such as BotRK; the difference will lie in choices such as Black Cleaver.

By the way, I know folks say that with W, Kindred does not value CDR. However, I wanted to point out that Wolf's Frenzy itself is on a 14 second cooldown at max rank. That means 40% CDR will lets you use it every 8.4 seconds instead of every 14, and that means more Q's even though they don't benefit directly from the CDR.

I can see that working with warrior. I like having some crit though. She's a poor man's Kalista/Vayne with that build, albeit tankier with a great ult.

I like the armor pen/car build a lot more. From spamming her on the pbe it yields the best results.

For one thing, she has 3 ad ratios. Going pure attack speed doesn't benefit that at all. Secondly, even at 6 items, with an attack speed build she does less damage than a similarly built Kog/Vayne/Kalista. So why do it?

I much prefer the cdr/Pen/crit build. Keeps all her abilities up for better skirmishing, which keeps her safer with the W and E providing good mobility.

You will rarely be in a situation where you can just stand and auto. You will more likely be q'ing all over the place and kiting, considering her low range. The cdr build wins again.

On the PBE I have been running a couple LS runes and have been going Warrior/zerks/ghostblade and either IE or trinity. A crit or two with W and E up melts most anything.

Is IE worth it? From what I can see, her ad ratios are trash tier, so is it even worth going that route? wouldn't the utility of the equal AD item bloodthirster get you further?

Infinity Edge is there because it brings you to 50% crit chance along with PD, spiking to 100% periodically if your support buys Zekes. % HP damage is good, but you need some flat damage to take care of squishies.

item 3072 item 3085 item 3071 item 3102 item 3026 item 3139 are also acceptable items.

With the sated devourer nerf, I wonder if devourer is mandatory on them.

I wonder how item 3723 item 3153 item 3065 item 3143 item 3085 item 3009 would be on them.

I'm actually interested to try using item 3078 on Kindred. They can easily trigger it multiple times in succession while inside W, and it gives them the burst and flat damage needed to compliment all of the % damage. What I'm currently looking at as my primary jungle build is something like this: item 3933 item 3153 item 3006 item 3078 item 3071 item 3102 How necessary the Devourer is, however, is very much debatable now. There is a strong consideration for a Warrior build instead.

Triforce would be core on her if her base AD wasn't almost Thresh/Orianna levels of bad.
