OMG Jihn + rageblade!
Is a really weak combination.

Well played sir. I read your title and thought, "This guy is high I swear." Glad you're not. Stay off drugs.
its a bad combination on any adc. other than kog maw.
Bad? No. Worth taking over other items? No again.

which means that its bad? right i mean
There isn't just black and white.
There isn't just black and white.
ADC builds are black and white as evidenced by their pure hatred of survival* items
"does it give me more DPS than x core item?" "no" "not worth building"
Well the problem is that the ADC's that understand the requirement of a survival item when the situation requires it end up being killed off due to their team raging at them for deviating from the "MAXIMUM DAMAGE" build.
"Hatred of survival items"
I have been seeing a lot of
abusing
lately
with
?! wtf. MF has 63 base attack damage at level 18, whoever you saw building it had no idea what he was doing.
And graves and quinn, well, they aren't pure adcs, are they.
And graves and quinn, well, they aren't pure adcs, are they.
Graves and MF are marksmen. Quinn's a marksman/fighter.
I'd say Graves is more of a bruiser than an ADC right now. Well, ADC assassin bruiser mage caster? Lmao.

He's just building fighter items since he's one of the only marksmen that value raw damage stats for his scalings rather than crit + AS for his autos.
the health from juggernaut items feeds amazingly into the resists from "True Grit" as well
And really, that Fighter tag is just there from when Valor used to show up and be all melee. Wasn't even accurate then. Marksman/Assassin would be a better fit imo.
I see
pretty often.
It can be good on MF. Koggy definitely owns it though.
ADC Kayle possibly.
But more serious: I have seen Yi s build it before Titanic Yi went meta.
might have potential with it.
edit: I just looked up MF's scalings. She can definitely use it since all her abilities have 35, 50, or 200+ % scaling from AP. +32 ability power will definitely be felt in her ult. Not to mention that AS is good for any hybrid champion who hasn't reached the AS cap yet.
Actually Rageblade-Titanic is a really strong combo on Yi since it gives him a ton of on-hit damage of both types.
It's nice for a teamfight-oriented Yi, if you can last in the fights long. Otherwise though, take BorK in place of it for a good enough static attackspeed and lifesteal + damage. And as always, that active is strong on Yi
Only takes 4 Melee Strikes... making it viable on a ton of Melee's and amazing on any Melee that can use AD and AP.
Takes 8 Ranged Strikes to proc... way to much of an investment.
I might MIGHT might take it on Twisted Fate. So every other time I get his Passive Damage for every 4th Hit I can get a nice boost to it. But even that is a stretch.
This actually reminds me of Grave's old passive and how much more effort it took to keep him tanky than just pressing E_ into_ the enemy.
koggy is pretty legit with it, being he is now "i attack so much lolz"
Problem is you gotta get those stacks BEFORE you ult, which rarely if ever happens. People keep thinking you'll always have all stacks all the time. Which...is silly.
I was in error also because my original post neglected the +40 AP you get as base too, which is at least another 128 (from the AP alone) damage in her ult without any stacks. And also it does of course give AD that scales even better for her.
Usually when MF gets ahead (which means she can easily afford this) the teamfights start with her using her basic abilities and AA'ing to get the enemy low, and then her huge AOE ultimate cleans up the place by easily catching stragglers. CS'ing down mid lane after bot roam or just CSing in her own lane easily builds it up a little and she WILL AA in that teamfight before she finally ults making sure that she does get some of the stacks.
It's probably decent on

i was thinking "how tf is that any good?" when i saw the title. now im laughing
um, Considering he does not actually get increased AS from building AS. He isn't going to be able to use On-hit effects effectively.

I think he knows.
LMAO
Can't even read a one sentence post.
jihn just str8 up sucks right now.
might be a month or two before hes viable.
fun to play but not good at all.
Hes already OK. I am expecting nerfs to scaling tbh. I was just screwing around with items and somehow managed 750+ (w/e my masteries and ghostblade buff threw on top) Attack Damage.
Positioning him well, getting the rhythm between bullets and Spells, and knowing when to use ult is everything and everything I suck at atm.
Something interesting is that this patch is supposed to let you use
DURING his ultimate or any other champion's channeled abilities (
).
ImaJhin the possibilities.

see thats the problem
when brand spanking new champ releases and NOBODY calls him OP.
something is up.

Honestly, Jhin should have his bases reduced, instead of his scalings, if anything at all. Though to be fair, his dps compared to other adc's is compensated by high damage since he lacks AS, he seems designed more towards staying just out of the fight to avoid being focused, or staying RIGHT next to his team for safety. There are very few adcs he would beat in an equal situation by himself, he's required to try and set the battlefield before a fight so he isn't destroyed.

Oddly enough... with the utility on his W/E/R, his ammo mechanic and the way he gets insane damage for building, well just about everything, I've wondered if he would fair better as a pokey support over an actual carry slot. you'd still get insane AD for just building an offensive item or 2, and he can setup on people and use his abilities for utility.
Probably not the greatest thing in the world, but Support Vel'koz is okay and fun to play so....
Makes me think of Tf2, the way the sniper is labeled "support" because he's supporting the team with damage and utility from afar, I suppose this is why Jhin mid was instantly done by many people, utility and damage is basically the same aspects of a team mages cover.
Precisely why Ashe was such a common mid way back when.
Off-Meta 'Kill Lane' type of Support I could see.
You need a Safe ADC for that though.
Early game (possibly mid game depending on individual skill), no, he won't beat other marksmen in 1v1s.
Late game tho? When he's well over 60% crit chance? Yeah, don't bother 1v1ing him even if you're Vayne.
Depends on if he hits his W and roots her. If not, she'll just condemn him and destroy him. I find that Jhin beats Vayne easily if he can snare her once.
She can condemn him even when rooted, and it's not like he has more range than her. He just needs to not be between her and terrain.
True.
I feel he may become one of my go to ADC's since I'm not fond of playing ADC because I'm the only person that ever peels for them. Jhin having that ult and being able go in for a strong hit and then back out means he suits my chicken shit playstyle of ADC.
The moment you scream
WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE PEELING
then realize...
You're the ADC.
Those games... steal a little of your soul each time.
Eeeeeehh... I think he will be gettinc CHANGES. Not nerfs, not buffs, changes.
He has a 40% win rate right now in all positions. He does a lot of damage late game, but is immobile and easy to catch and kill early and late.
His scaling is not as strong as other ADCs. With his passive crit and AS get merged into a single layer of scaling while other ADCs get them on different layers. That and each point of Crit is a much smaller bonus to his damage.
He's not the best at sustained damage, but his utility and good situational damage would make him a nice utility and cleanup solo laner/jungler
