@Meddler: Are these two "QoL" points concerning Lux intentional?

  1. Lux's W gives the first application of its shield at the end of its channel, not at the start of its cast. That's around a 0.1-0.15 second delay, something which can result in plenty of deaths. Other shielding casters like Janna, Lulu and Karma can shield themselves instantly with no delay.

  2. Lux cannot queue up her E to "pre-detonate" like Gragas and Ziggs can. Gragas' Barrel Roll and Ziggs' Satchel Charge can be queued up to detonate the second they reach their destinations, but Lux can only give a detonation command after Lucent Singularity reaches its destination. This, combined with latency and reaction times, tends to cause a 0.1-0.2 second delay before Lux can detonate Lucent Singularity, making her miss with it more often than she should.

Are these intentional? I need your input or another Rioter's, not community feedback.

I would imagine that it is, since it's much stronger thann both of the champs u mentioned.

Lux's shield isn't great against burst compared to Lulu or Janna, having less base strength. And Karma's shield can still be AOE if she uses Mantra.

Add on that Lux has to stop to cast her shield while the others don't, and that adds another problem: Lux can't always use it while fleeing or an enemy could catch up to her.

And Lux's E being stronger than Gragas' Q? Umm, WRONG.

damage and utility wise? yes it is. Neither lulu, janna, or karma generally go full ap anyway. Lulu sometimes, but it's rare with the rest.

Lux's shield takes time to reach her allies and can MISS if they panic or don't see her trying to help them. Lulu, Janna and Karma just point-and-click and they're done.

but their shield isn't nearly as strong as lux's.
